I've noticed with CPU kickoffs are short and that they always go out of bounds either to the left or right. Anyone else notice this?

How are you entering into the game? Is this a Quick Play Game or a league game. You might want to check the roster and depth chart of the kicking team to ensure that either a place kicker or a punter is properly assigned to do the kicking. If the team doesn't have either, it will try to use a QB to kick, and those guys are not very good.

thanks
David

Hmm. Never knew this. Now I understand why some the punts are so short. Thanks.

Hi.

You don't need a place kicker AND a punter on your team, but you need at least one of them. A place kicker can be a punter and vice versa although there are slight advantages to having the specialized player do the job. If you don't have any type of kicker on your team then the QB is auto filled in (unless you change your depth chart) and no other player will do the job nearly as well as the specialized kickers.

thanks
David
