While you're playing the game? No. You can turn off the music, or turn it on.

If you're asking if you can change the music files, then yes.

What, exactly, are you asking?

When you say "change the music files", I assume you mean that you can substitute one .ogg music file for another ???

Am I to assume that the music in the dated folders would be the first place one should start, even if there is only 4 music tracks in each one of these dated folders ??

Correct. You can convert some of your own music files to .ogg format, rename them as Music01.ogg, Music02.ogg, etc., and the program will cycle through them while in game.

You can start wherever you wish. The music in the dated folders is a bit more "period-oriented" and plays for scenarios that have calendar dates within that date range. Thus for post 1974 scenarios, your music files in the Sound\1975 folder will override the music files that are in the Sound folder. For 1951-1974, the files in the 1951 folder will override, and so on...

I don't suppose this would work for a scenario-specific file? I know I've switched the rail noise for a truck noise in a scenario where I use 'rail' lines to simulate movement by truck.

If the program would pick up on music files in the scenario graphics folder, then I could subject players to all kinds of things...

What I'd like to hear is something reflecting a quote I once read about the Malaysian campaign:

"...the manly war cries of the Sikhs and the shrill squeaks of the Japanese..."
