I'm looking for someone to play the Soviet side in FiTE. I'd like to try the Buzz mods. If you're interested but don't have the mods I've got them and could send you a copy. House rules - other than the ones that come with the Buzz mods - are negotiable. I'm looking at a turn rate of 3 to 4 turns per week. Slower is OK, but faster will be difficult to do as Real Life(tm) keeps interfering with gaming. If interested contact me here or at morleron@yahoo.com.

Have fun,
Ron

Haha! That is hallarious. I presume it is a new game you're looking for, rather than still waiting from 2008?

That would be correct. ;)  I basically just did a little editing to update my desires and then bumped the post.  I kinda figured most folks weren't going back two years to check on opponents wanted messages. ;) BTW, if you're interested Raver just shoot m a PM or email me at morleron@yahoo.com. Also, I'd be interested in trying your mods of the Buzz mods. I've been playing around with my own changes to those mods in an attempt to lessen the effect of the "ant units" on both sides. If you're interested in discussing those send me an email.

You're the third person I've come across doing some modifications to FitE - its quite amazing really. We really should ask for a special forum on FitE design or something. One guy seems to be quite a long way down the path too. I'll send you an email.

I'm all for that. I think the "stock" FiTE scenario has been analyzed to death and a "perfect" Russian defense scheme has been one of the results. I've been playing around with some mods to the famous "Buzz mods" - primarily trying to deal with the problem of "ant units" tying up way too many resources to squash them. I've also taken the liberty of incorporating the supply changes that Karri has worked out for his set of mods to FiTE and some of his other suggestions (see the discussion at: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2336166. Karri's description of his mods is about half-way down the first page.) If anyone wants to try this work-in-progress send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the files.

Right now Karri and I are playing an FiTE game using his mods. Neither of us really has time for a full-blown AAR, unfortunately. However, I suspect that we'll end up posting something about how the game went and how the mods worked in practice. At any rate, I suspect that we'll see more work done on modding the original FiTE as interest does seem to be growing in that direction - what fun!
