Only TOAW3, UV(Thank you SoM) and Advanced Tactics so far.

It would have been more if they ever released the vaporous titles like Combined Arms.
World in Flames looks like a potential candidate though.

Well, talking about inadequate!... so far, I only own JT's BGACW. Getting JT's Nap and also SPWAW. Which other Matrix games in your valuable opinion are absolute must-have's? I'll put 'em in my wish list, b-day coming up soon

Really depends on which era you like, but from my collection the ones I have got the most replay out of are:

Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar
Commander Europe at War
Empire in Arms
Birth of America

Hope this helps

Problem is I like all eras, from ancient to modern. I'm an equal opportunity military history buff. You should see my book collection... If I really had to choose, I'd say ACW and WWII (west front and north africa). I'll look into the titles you suggested. Thanks!

Digital:

War in the Pacific
War Plan Orange
Forge of Freedom
Advanced Tactics
Commander Europe at War

Boxed:

Starshatter
Russian Front (RF - not necessarily the official title)
Mega Campaign: Lost Victories
War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition
Battle of Britain 2: Wings of Victory (bought it from retail)
UFO: Extraterrestrials (bought it from retail)

I wish I had bought the boxed version of Forge of Freedom. The manual is only 6eur more and its both great and a must read if you wanna play the game. I just didnt notice the boxed version had it so i went digital. Ive been thinking of rebuying the game just to get the manual but its against my principals to buy the same game twice. Besides I have more matrix games in the future list like the superb admirals edition (love the color manual) and tin soldiers.

Allthough its still only 40eur for Forge of Freedom..all that for nice box and 250page color manual...its not really that much but

Some kind of special reward for frequent customers has been on our store wish list for some time, but based on our talks with DR I think it will be a while yet before anything like this is possible. It seems more likely that we'll do something on our own side in the future through the Members Club, so be sure to register all your games.

Regards,

- Erik

Consider also something like trymedia.com so it becomes possible to try before buy. That would increase
my purchases at least.

We actually gave that a try internally and decided against it because it uses a form of DRM that we felt some customers would object to. In order to make it possible for the game to be tried out and then "activated" to a full version it has to wrap it in some pretty strong copy protection, which goes against our standard and simple serial number system. We've also heard from others that there are compatibility issues associated with this type of system, which I'll believe given that our long passed experiences with other copy protection systems created plenty of support issues.

Well at least you are looking into something :). Campaign has paid off.
Are there others that might be acceptable perhaps? With todays advanced encryption techniques they can be made safe.

A fun little game, that one. Some of its excellent ideas deserved a slightly more meaty overall package, maybe.

With the possible exception of the sports games nothing other than 'pure' wargames seems to do that well here, really. Even that seems limited to WW2 (and no apologies for moaning about that again).. Tin Soldiers and Flashpoint Germany (two of the four best Matrix products IMHO, the others being the Panther games and WitP) are conspicuous by their absence from most of those lists as well.

Hi all,

Here they are in no particular order

Highway to the Reich
Korsun Pocket
Conquest of the Aegean
Close Combat Cross of Iron
Flashpoint Germany
Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar
Harpoon 3 - Advanced Naval Warfare
Uncommon Valor - Campaign for the South Pacific

The ones I have played the most are FPG, HTTR, COTA, CC:COI My Least favourite were UV and KP.

Regards John
