This was a first for me. I had never seen a kicker miss wide left or right. The only misses I saw were short.

Tonight I saw a kicker with a very strong leg attempt a short field goal, about 30 yds. and it went wide left.

A few minutes later he attempted a field goal from 51 and nailed it.

Kickers get better as the seasons go on. Season 1 is an adventure.

Well that will happen once in a while regardless of how good the kicker is. Even the best kickers will miss close ones. Also, strength of leg is not accuracy of kick, so he may simply not be an accurate kicker.

I have seen more left/right misses than short ones even though I play AFL rules.

This is a good thing. I was beginning to think accuracy meant nothing. I was tired of seeing kickers making everything within their range.

I was starting to see nothing made under 30 yards. All were short. So I changed all playbooks to 30 yard attempts. I'd love to see some 50 yarders made. What affects a kickers distance?

I may have to do some more tweaking.

KST affects getting the ball to the goal posts. KAC affects getting the ball on target. The farther away the kick, the more being off target will affect if the kick is good or not.

The Constants file has a field for kicking accuracy.

Ok. Thanks Marauders. I have played with the constants. That was fun. But, FGs were still falling short. I'll have to take look at all of my legaues kickers KST and see what's going on.

I went into the PDS for each of the teams in my league. I loaded the FG team and practiced FG's. I compared the kickers Strength skill to the distance he was kicking in the PDS ( you can change the line of scrimmage in the PDS). I then went into that teams playbook and changed the FG distance based on his range from the practice field.
