Well finally i'm ready to wright it. At least i will try.
Didn't see Matii registered in this forum - but if you are here please don't read below.

15 scenario, stock game

HR are quiet simple
> > Japanese player may not move units from Manchuria without changing
> > their HQ.
> And vice versa, do not move units from Manchuria to China without
> changing HQ Same to allies - no china corps in burma, no 4e fortresses
> in China
>
> No hunting for allied CV's on 1st turn.

> > Japanese player may not move units from Manchuria without changing
> > their HQ. Allied player may not upgrade 2e bombers to 4e bombers
> > unless they do so by default

This game started 12-03-2008 and it is on 08/02/1942 in terms of game now. So it is going quiet fast, and i will need to describe thing already happened.

Sorry for language mistakes - not a natural speaker.
And any comments are welcome

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/07/41

First day and fisrt big mistake - as allied was not prohibited to move any ships except from PH - and i did it. Mobilized any single ship from any port. But he expected this, and it cost me much.
His subs trapped my transports near Seatle, SF, and LA
His cruisers waited my auxillaries ner bataan.
And his baby KB, filled with Kates ambushed z-force near Palembang. The second mistake i did - ordered naval attack to all fighters in malaya in a hope to hit some transports. Even 1 or 2 obsolete buffalos sq could stop comletely unescorted kates - but the history repeated.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day Air attack on TF, near Muntok at 21,55

Japanese aircraft
B5N Kate x 43

Japanese aircraft losses
B5N Kate: 7 destroyed, 22 damaged

Allied Ships
BC Repulse, Torpedo hits 4, on fire, heavy damage
BB Prince of Wales, Torpedo hits 2, on fire, heavy damage
DD Vampire

But i was lucky at PH - no any single torpedo hit to BB's.
Asiatic fleet was ordered to be about at Jolo as i expected landing there and Pensacola to stay at Canton by the same reason. And both was very lucky.
Some cruisers from CV taskforces was sent to the south while CV's with some less escort headed to midway, in order to stop any landing here.
Indianapolis with DMS escorts headed to Palmyra.
All Australian cruisers meeting point is Noumea and CA Luisville moved towars rabaul. Additionally 1 AP was sent to rabaul to evacuate at lesst 1 ground unit to noumea. The goal is to protect it from early small landings.

All dutch ML's tried to mine something and almost all was sunk by bombardment forces or baby KB.
And two D class CL's was anchored at Palembang in order to stop small bambardmend\landing force. One of them was sunk by those kates from baby KB, and second by bombardens - it was not small. However CL Dragon death (and small ML Pro Partia) was not useless - it saved z-force from the final coup de grace.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/08/41

Another strike on PH - much less than day before. But now he used torpedoes. Nothing sunk.
Asiatic fleet encountered enemy at davao - but cruisers was not replenished at jolo (tried to save ops), so too low on ammo to inflict good damage. And DD torps missed.
PT raid to vigan was not very lucky - but traded 1 boat for PC and MSW.
CA Louisville met single jap AP at lunga but didn't managed to get a single hit!
Massacre with fleeing aux near manila again.
Valuable AD black hawk sunk by cautched by SS enroute to soerabaya.
Intensive strikes against baby KB covered by only 3 Zero and 4 claudies - but my pilots are only rookies. No hits. Escort dutch fighters managed to get first air victories.
Warhawks did some job bombing invading transports - 3 or 4 bomb hits.
BB prince with something like 50-30-10 damage fled toward batavia and BC Repulse with 35-80-10 to palembang. Kates tried to bomb prince - but only with bombs (too far for torps). No real effect.
Expecting shock attack at davao i moved several AK's to west coast of mindanao to evacuate the survivors.
Japs mined dutch ports with both subs and Ml's - and was lucky to hit DD in soerabaya

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/09/41

Japanese offensive continued. However allied fleet inflicted some painfull losses to him.
asiatic fleet fighted night combat - troops already landed but it unloaded supplies i beleave. DD Otori Sunk but only damaged transports. They already empty, anyways.
4 american Flush deck DD's engaged the same force at amboine with same result.
And notrh of canton CA Pensacola and 2 CA splited from those CV group at turn 1 finally killed retreating japanese invaders.
Japs unloaded some forces south from Manila in attempt to cut off 2 divisions at Naga.
CA Chokai and CL sendai bombarded Palembang and hit BC Repulse docked there. Not rnouth for BC but flood damage increased to 85.
Some landings at solomons and at Wewak. Why Wewak?
Air strikes to Clarj Field - but no real damage. Warhawks moved to Manila? pretecting 12 AK left there to evecuate something later if i will have an opportunity.
Japs attacked PT's with Zeros at bataan. Every get hits but no one damaged higher than 10 sys.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/10/41
Japs spotted my transports at cotabato and sent BB Yamashiro. I get share of the cake at amboina sunking 2 AP's.
Several attempts to damage baby KB - but now it capped by 25 zeros - so only useless losses.
More landings at solomons.
Air strike at Singapore, 25 planes lost on ground.

Overview after 10/12
Sitation in DEI

Landings to luson, notrern borneo, sulawesi, amboina, solomons. Jonston island captured - i concern about if he going to capture PH.
Z- force badly damaged, Prince particulary safe at batavia but Repulse in big trouble at Palembang with 85 flood damage.
Jups subs screens at West coast, Batavia, Soerabaya extremely successful.
2 Phillipine divs isolated at Naga.

However some achievments - after several fierce naval battles 2 invading TF's completely annihilated (Jolo and Canton), 7 Jap DD's sunk without losing a single one from me.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/11/41

He continues unloading troops at borneo, luson and sulavesi. And Malaya.

Another AK sunk at Cotabato - seems waiting with AK for retreated troops from Davao was not a good idea. Revenge was 1 AP intercepted by CA Indianapolis at solomones,
and another near Amboina. Dutch PT's did their job at Pontianak - AP full with troops intercepted and get 4 torps.

Prepared to deblocade forces at Naga but was defeated Need more troops for this tasks

ASM TF did a good job near west coast, badly damaging SS I-1 but another their sup sunked TK near Colombo
Japanese captured Khota Baru, Baker, Palmyra!!!, Kuching, Singkawang, Amboina, Tuguegarao
Attack at Davao was repulsed.

Major concern is Palmyra and Johnston - His KB seems to be west from the Johnston. If japs will fortify those islands he will be able to bomb and close PH and break supply line from US to Australia. Recons reported Johnston is empty and it seems Palmyra was captured wiyh the same unit as Johston. KB is somwhere near Johnston and my careers are north east from midway
I'm going to send a single recon ship to investigate. If KB left the area than it will survive and i will be ably to retake Johnston and Palmyra and if not than i would kniw wee it is

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/12/41

He performed attempt to clear ap those dutch PT near Java, as a result 45 zeros badly damaged DD Thracian at bandjarmasin and at second phase they attacked dutch ASW TF at soerabaya. DD Van Ghent got 2 torps.
Dutch PT TF tried BB Haruna iin night combat at Tarakan - fail. 2 sunk
Allied subs was successful in sunking 2 or more AP's, one of them fully loaded.
Unknown Jap SS was lucky again near Colombo - TK sunk.
Last escapees from Manila sunk near jolo - no one survived. However 11 AK and 1 AP still intact at Manila. Fighter based there intercepted unescorted raid at San Marselino - scored 10 kills
And AVG scored 14 west of Changsha.

In China quiet enought army moved to Nanming (up to 1000AV) from Changha.
Under constan air pressure another was able to attack succesfully Nanning. Seems they will take it tomorrow.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/13/41

SS-36 tried to attcak at madang but got 6 hit and sunk immediatly.
DD pope got a mine hit at Darwin
Allied ASW was succesful, badly damaging 2 subs at Batavai and Darwin
US PT boats intercepted lightly escorted convoy northwest of batavia - AS Rio de Janiero and AE Soya sunk immideatly and 2 other PG's.
1CA and 2CL escorted by 5 DD's bombarded Palmyra - it is empty.
3rd TK sunk near Colombo by sub - it makes me mad.
AVG sweep Wuhan, scoring 10 kills without any losses. Another part of them intercepted japanese 30 Nates and Anns at 47,36 - anothe 10 kills
DD Witte de With from Batavia ASW force get 4 torps from baby KB - our CAP scored 3 Kates and 9 damaged

Landings at Pontianak, Sandakan and Apamama
japs attacked isolated Naga - 1-1, forts reduced to 2. But 1st Kure, blocking retreat path was pushed back - now the road is clear.
And they took Madang, Macassar, Tavoy, Apamama.
At Nanning our attack failed, and our forces get great disruption and very bad supply situation.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/14/41

CL Adelaide hit by mine near Port Morsbi. His constant efforts with sub mining my ports seems fructifies.
Australian 1CA, 3 CL and french DD Le Triomphant bombarded Lunga
Another sweep mission for AVG at Canton - only 2 Oscars killed, no allied losses.
9 Betties escorted by 40 Zeros tried to wipe out our ASW from Batavia - 5 dutch fighters lost for 1 Betty. ASW intact.
Rahaeng, Victoria Point, Sandakan was lost.
Chinese counter offensive at Canton with 1500 AV was stopped by 400 japanese AV with 4 forts. Will retreat tomorrow.
But Japanese attack at naga failed too.

Decision was made to evacuate all 1 half of burma forces to protect Ceylon from early landings. 3 brigades left and will try to protect river crossing at Mandalay.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/15/41
Japs brought sighnificant surface cambat to Batavia (CA, CL, 15 DD) - DD Vampire sunk and japanese DD Sagiri hit by defensive mine.
CA Cornwall with CLAA Capetown bombarded Tavoy.
Landings at Rabaul, Siador, Nauru, Pomala, Tawi Tawi.
Dutch PT force almost killed by Betties despite our efforts to LRCAP it - only 4 left. And 12 dutch figter shot down by escorting Zeros for 2 Betties.
japanese still patrolling Batavia in attempt to prevent any shipping there. Only patrol, no bombardments. And Dutch air force was able to hit DD Isonami. And after that 2 british CL's and 4 DD's engaged them:
Day Time Surface Combat, near Batavia at 19,59

Japanese Ships
CA Chokai, Shell hits 9
CL Sendai, Shell hits 11, on fire
DD Fubuki, Shell hits 12, on fire, heavy damage
DD Shinonome, Shell hits 5, on fire
DD Usugumo, Shell hits 6, on fire, heavy damage
DD Shirakumo, Shell hits 3, on fire
DD Isonami, Shell hits 18, and is sunk
DD Shirayuki, Shell hits 5, on fire, heavy damage
DD Hatsuyuki, Shell hits 16, and is sunk
DD Murakumo, Shell hits 3, on fire
DD Uranami, Shell hits 4, on fire, heavy damage
DD Shikinami
DD Ayanami, Shell hits 8, Torpedo hits 1, and is sunk
DD Asagiri, Shell hits 4, on fire
DD Yugiri, Shell hits 4, on fire, heavy damage
DD Amagiri, Shell hits 7, on fire, heavy damage

Allied Ships
CL Danae, Shell hits 12
CL Mauritius, Shell hits 26, on fire
DD Tenedos, Shell hits 5, Torpedo hits 1, and is sunk
DD Electra, Shell hits 1, Torpedo hits 1, and is sunk
DD Express, Shell hits 5, on fire, heavy damage
DD Jupiter, Shell hits 5, Torpedo hits 1, and is sunk

Indeed not bad under this circumstances - 3 DD traded for 1 but another 6 DD badly damaged and part of them surely will sink.

But 2 transports evacuating LCU from singapore intercepted near Muntok:

Japanese Ships
CA Mogami
CA Mikuma
CA Suzuya
CA Kumano
DD Maikaze
DD Nowaki
DD Arashi
DD Hagikaze

Allied Ships
AP Kanimba, Shell hits 14, Torpedo hits 1, and is sunk
AP Manoora, Shell hits 6, Torpedo hits 2, and is sunk

Allied ground losses:
2000 casualties reported
Guns lost 10

Big mistake was done by me - i didn't retreated from Alor Star, hoping that 5 level forts will delay him. And now encircled by advance from Khota Baru.
Emirau and Nauru captured by Japs.

China sitaution:
They moving towards Yenen up to 15 units on the north.
Near Changsha 20 units with unknown value massed from Wuhan direction and small (2-3 brigades) marching from Nanchang. I will try to move 10 corpses to west and perform counterstrike to this small force.
On south i expect Hong Kong will fall tomorrow and situation with Nanning is stable. 800 Chinese AV vs 280 Japanese AV. But my morale and supply lavel to low for attack, and Martii simply does not have enough AV to defeat me.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/16/41

Remained 4 dutch PT tried to attack cripled Japanese TF retreating from Batavia - failed, 1 lost. Seems they simply have too low experience. But sure they brought some headache to Martii. And Manila PT detachment was lucky again damaging 2 loaded AP's.
Another AP enroute from Singapore, full with men, sunk at Muntok.
Japanese landimgs at Jolo, Naga, Kuantan.
Hong kong finally falled, 15747 casualties reported. Allied counter offensive toward Nanchang succesful and defeated japanese unit retreating though.
Naga (it was evacuated because japs brought another division), Siador, Pomala, Tawi Tawi, Taiping captured by japs.
And we retake Johnston! It was empty, so no resistance met. Next will be Palmyra.

Some summaries for fiirst 10 days of fighting

Frist of all there was no any plan made by me for at the begining. Just see what he doing and react.

In Pac main goal was to save CV's nd protect Midway if possible. Achieved. Now damaged ships ordered to move toward west coast, 3 CV's joined in PH and i'm going to relocate it to Noumea - perhaps they will be able to perform any action there. Reinforement on the way to Midway, Hilo, Jaohnston Canton, Pago Pago and Suva. And first supply and fuel convoys heading to Oz.

Oz - badly low at fuel and need for supplies. All large AK and all TK sent to SF and Karachi. All small AK from Perth enroute to Karachi too. Aus cruiser divisions formed and 3 american CA operating individally in solomones and near rabaul, bombarding captured bases and intercepting transports. Partially succesful - japanese will need to bring significant naval forces here. I expect KB is heading to Rabaul, so i will stop cruising operations till KB will appear.

PI - moving unprotected aux's at first turn was big mistake, but Warships did their best, especially PT detachment operating from Manila, and CL Boise. I still hold northwest part of Luson and almost all Mindanao. Dut Davao will fall in next few days.Going to withdraw all airforce except Catalinas which is needed for PT interceptions.

DEI - Borneo, Sulavesi , Amboina lost but japs payed high price for unprepared raid at Java.
Little miracle - z-force saved. Prince is now heading toward Colombo with little above 50 sys damage and Repulse is at Thcilachiap - 40 sys and still over 30 flood damage.

India - Burma will be abandoned without any strong resistance. Remaining 3 brigades will try to protect Burma road as long as possible but with out risk of encircling and annuhulation.

Malaya - very poor. Seems japanese colud capture Singapore before the end of year. 3 brigades encircled in alor star, 1 between Khota Baru and Kunatan. Main goal - hold Singapore at least to te end of January and evacuate at least 2 brigades and some bases - failed.

China - situation is going bad at the north with Yenen - Japs brought something like 2000AV against only 1000 of unexperienced chinese, and forts are only 1st level. But in central area we was particulary succesfull. I will try to perform demonstration action north of Wuhan.
At south 5 chinese so called corps's was unable to defeat single brigade at Nanning, Sent 4 more from Wuchow, and perhaps i i will able to cut Nanning from Hanoi.

In naval actions only 2 D class CL's was lost at first day at Palembang and something like 3-5 DD's traded for more than 10

Main goal - force japanese to pay the price - achieved.

Any comments?

Well, next two months was Didn't brought any surprises. Main OT was China were chinese achieved several victories - but going to lose whole war.

Singapore was taken by japs at 19/01/1942 - and i only managed to save half of australian brigade and 2 base forces.

DEI almost conquered - only remaining bases is Batavia (it will be lost in 3-5 days), Bali and western coast of Sumatra. Whole New Guinea is under Japanese rule except Port Morsbi.

No serios actions at PI - hi just blocaded it with something like 3000 AV vs 1500. Both mine and japanese forces divided by two equal parts in Manila and Clark Field.

On the late of December KB was sighted between Noumea and Norfolk, hunting for convoys - too early, first of them was still near Suva. Then KB moved East and defeated two small troops convoys between Suva and Noumea. US para Bn and US Arty Bn went to the sea bottom. I wonder how i missed to redirect those transports - KB was tracked and didn't performed anyyhing unpredictable. Later one of the fuel convoys was lost in the same way 8 or 10 american TK. Then KB travelled to east without performing any single attack against islands - was tracked by Catalinas and all other convoys successfully avoided it. Last signed near Wake 2 weeks ago. That all about KB.

baby KB was far more agressive. First it interdicted convoys west of Java - Allied air patrols still present so not very succesfull. Than it striked Darwin and Derby accompanied by bombardment force - CA Houston and several destroyers sunk. Than Tchilachiap
2 Dutch CL several destroyers a up to 20 transports went to the sea bottom. Then again raid to the indian ocean - shipping line from colombo to perth completely closed, up to 70 Ak's an TK's was delayed at Colombo.

Then operation "Hunting Jaguar" was planned and launched - 3 Allied CV's redirected from Noumea to Perth and then to indian ocean 900 miles west from Java. Then several convoys was send closer to soerabaya and Java allowing jap to spot them. Some was sunk by Nells - but only few. Then major convoy departed. It was intercepted 900 nothern from were i expected, so it costed me 10-15 transports more. At last the hour of revenge arrived.
