I need some advice for making facemask colors. I need some specific ones for my league.

I've taken the white facemasks and turned them into templates that I use to make the other colors. However, when I apply them to a team, they show up black-ish. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I think my bitmaps might be too deep in color?

Can anybody give me any tips?

Meh, maybe that's not it after all. I indexed all the bitmaps and they have the same color depth (8 bits) as the ones that come with the game and they're still black. Not sure what's going on here.

I'm using 1024x768 32 resolution for watching the games. I took a couple screenshots today. It's kinda weird. When you zoom in close on the players, the facemasks are kind of black. But when you zoom back a certain amount, the facemasks turn colors. The index facemask turned pink (it's supposed to be gold). The non-indexed facemask turned neon green (which is the color it's supposed to be).
