Summary of Operations 1/13/43 Countdown to CV Essex arrival: 124 days. Aircraft replacement pools for P-40E and Hurricane II fighters are slowly replenishing. I've been keeping front-line fighter squadrons equipped with these types out of combat as much as possible. Keep doing that for awhile if I can. Now that I have upgrades turned off, these aircraft will stay in the pool until I use them myself. Central Pacific: Numerous patrols by Jap carrier aircraft (both Kates & Vals) as well as E13A1 Jake float planes reported by U.S. subs around Kwajalein.
