I am currently playing "Storm on the Reich" as a German Tiger battalion commander. (1.02b patch installed.) I have just finished the first battle and recieved an outstanding rating, not suffering a single loss to my tigers, but the rest of the command......well....lets say they wont be wrinting home anymore. (Meaning the AI generated support ubits assigned to the battle, the core unit is intact.) I recieved a -455, (Defensive battle), and i am wondering how experiece pts work to increase levels, I. E. at what point does the game decide ubit recieve a morale increase? Also, my commander....at what point does he go from a "1", to a "2", etc. It seems to vary. I have had commanders before after 1 battle become a 2, other take 5, or 6 battles, even with outstanding ratings in every battle.

From this I assume it is completely random.

Shouldnt there be static levels to mark increases in morale to combat units and leaders? Not just have it completely random?

just a thought, but was wondering if this can be changed.

Also, in the Talonsoft version, for the same DCG, I alwways had VIb's....now I am stuck with VIE's.....so do these ever upgrade? Frankly, when facing JS2m's, I want VIb's in my battalion.

Borst 50, the levels that determine when a promotion or morale upgrade are not random, but are based on the number of experience points that you accumulate each battle. And the number of experience points you get awarded is, in turn, based on the type of mission you fought - i.e. some missions are considered more important than others.

You can adjust these levels for your DCG's if you want. There will be a how-to document included in the (all inclusive yet frustratingly allusive) Patch 1.03.

These are upgraded in the 1.03 UPDATE.
