I'm going to make a scenario for play against the AI, where everyone starts at peace, and the AI regimes respond to you based on your actions against other AI regimes. May add a few action cards and events like nuclear strikes too. Does anybody have any ideas for regime interaction that I could add?

Oh, another thing. would people prefer to play it in europe with lots of other european countries, or on a map with a pile of fictional countries. Something which will probably help the AI.

Like in the Civ series hmm? There other civ's had an increasing chance of DOW-ing you when you invaded other nations. If you kept on behaving "bad" you ended up with all civ's lining up against you. Then there is this thing of political alliances, nations of the same political belief (say Axis or Common Wealth) were more prone of working together then rivalling nations. Also you could influence or bribe them. In AT maybe with PP's, supply, units (40 inf or a BB?). Or would it be able to give a other nation a weapon development? (give me armorII and I won't declare war on you.... something like that)

I am curious as to how far this game can develop along this line... without turning it into a civ clone, it is a war game after all.

I'm guessing you could use the monster Europe map posted a couple of days ago. I had a look, and it's really huge = Lots of ground to cover and lots of opportunity for a game to develop. As Joshuatree said though, this is a game about war, so the main focus will be just that. Would be fun to see just how far the diplomacy part can be taken.

just my two cents and mi base indeed always on any and all world war 2 times, main ideologies...

communist... high control over production, poor quality
fascism... high control over production and good troop quality, high control and tolerance to take losses, usually lesser resources than russia, in example,
, and democratic/commonwealth... less tolerance to casualties, better economy and economic dominant system, better troops, between fascist and communist regimes, is a base than an old friend of me, with kindness, teach to me, for me it works very well,

hope it helps a bit as a base of available regimes, in example, on other game one user makes a game with a world map and 7 factions/regimes...

each main continent one player with an high value capitol-region, 6 players, and,
, seventh "player" is over the control of near all the map, no troops at start and 7th only have one capitol, all other regions less value, seventh player is only AI, i like the concept very much, as other people that vote it high in the forums of the game, can make interesting situations, both for single player, variant single player with control of more than one alone regime, or multiplayer indeed,
