Disregard
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not to regard; to pay no heed to; to omit to take notice of; to neglect to observe; to slight as unworthy of regard or notice; as, to disregard the admonitions of conscience.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The act of disregarding, or the state of being disregarded; intentional neglect; omission of notice; want of attention; slight.

So, I reserve the right both to omit to take notice or having to pay no heed to, or neglect to observe that this thread is unworthy of regard or notice ...

Seriously, I have learned more about WITP and the Pacific War on this thread than on any other thread that I have read in the last five years.....

Oh, wait a sec. Wrong thread. Can anyone tell me how to get back to the zero vs wildcat thread?

As Robert Ballard has recently confirmed, following an FOI request -
'The Disregard thread was the original main target of the exploration, and in fact the sole reason that government funds were provided for the development of the deep sea reconnaissance platform 'DSRV Terminus'. Only on completion of sucessful location of the 'disregard thread' was the DSRV then cleared for use for the cover story, the search for the Swedish Prime Minister. Robert Ballard remains, to this day, tight lipped about what he found after descending to page 4 of this apparently bottomless thread.'

Well, it is official. It is clear that nobody has anything to add to WITP. I dreaded this day but this forum has obvously exhausted all discussion of WITP in any form of manner. Move along people, there is nothing more to be gained here.

I am leaving the forum now forever and going back to the WPO forum.

Now, that is a hopping place!

So, in other words, starting a 'Disregard' thread is a bit like shaking someone sleeping and saying "Hey! Wake up and go to sleep!"

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated!

No, I see it more like the bit near the end of Spartacus, when everybody stands up in sequence* and states
"I am the Swedish Prime Minister"
to confuse the Romans.

Dave
*Note 'in sequence' not 'in sequins' - which sounds very similar but introduces a whole new place we really don't wanna go.
