I's like to add my own thanks to everyone at Matrix Games for the superb work on the older SSI titles, especially Pacific War. While I was able to easily figure out the ETO games (Second Front, Western Front, War in Russia - which I still havent loaded the Matrix upgrade for), Pacific War sat on my shelf for over 5 years. It was just too much of a bear to overcome the game system. The combination of the efforts of Matrix and Rich Dionne have turned this old DOS game into a very large consumer of my time. Excellent job and thanks. I've wanted a PTO game, this one was there, but was not appealing. You folks have made is much more appealing. I"m looking forward to WITP, but just don't make it take "real time" to finish, i.e. lets not need to devote 4 years to play the game through to completion. Lastly, is Gary Grigsby associated with Matrix, If not, he must have turned over the entire source code, otherwise you never had been able to make the excellent re-releases.

Thanks! Mike Wood has put an a lot into the old warhorse! Mike and Matrix are currently working with Gary, Keith and Joel in thier 2by3 games incarnation on the new games, Uncommon valor and War in the Pacific: The Struggle Against Japan, and worked with SSI and Gary's blessing (and code) on Pacific War, War in Russia, and Steel Panthers World at War. GARy and @by3 are currently working on a new Russian Front Game (which we are not involved with), we are working together on UC and WITP:TSAJ and Matrix is working on a new turn-based tactical game Combat Leader that 2by3 is not involved with, so we intersect on some things and not on others ;) We can think of no better group to be working with then 2by3 and look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration!
