No the delay(days) is reduced by 1 day each turn, unless you accelerate the vessel.

So next turn Delay will say 1001 .. And "WHEN IT .." Started Building will increase to -799.

So at present it is showing the CV will arrive in 1002 Days.

Durability and build cost are the same when you are building normally.

If you accelerate, the durability stays the same, but build cost = durability * 3 (540) and the accelerated delay, the delay will be halved to 501 Days.

Is it starting to make sense ?

I'll let Floyd field that one for now, I have an idea, but Floyd seems to have a better handle on these errors than I.

I saw this before and Floyd and I will discuss it before we start on the next build ... thanks.

Just wanted to confirm in the Production -> Regional Industry Tab, to see the details you must click horizontally to go vertically, sorry ... I'll try to fix it sometime.

So if you're at Japan Oil Fcty Cell, and want to go to Formosa Oil Cell, click horizontally so you are off the Oil cell (like Res Cell) then click Formosa Oil Cell ..

Naval Ship Building - If a ship is Halted, and when you try to use the calculation function to change it back to either Normal or Accelerated, it does not calculate the cost. I just ran into this problem with my EA game. The two columns on the far right don't change values.

Will it update if you exit to another screen and return?

Everything works perfectly except 3 aspects of the calculator ...

1. halted ships being calculated returning to building.
2. and status change for ships that say queued ...
3. initially the same as the real picture if you are accelerating ships outside the "normal build period"

I think that is it ... And yes, bugs are a priority for me ...

In short it looks at the savegamefile, takes information and displays it to the user in a "hopefully" friendly & useful manner ... it works for both Allies and Japanese players .
Here is a list of what is covered... & what it tracks ...
 Alerts
 Devices
 Ship Classes
 Bases
 Aircraft
 Aircraft Comparison
 Ship Upgrades
 Ship Repairs
 Air Production
 Industry
 Leaders
 Resources
 LCUs
 Air Groups and Pilots
 Task Forces
 Ships
 Ship Production
 LCU Production
 Victory Points
 Summary
Or you could just download it and fire it up (make sure you have java installed)/ read the pdf at the same site ...

Welcome aboard, I hope ...

Hi all, hoping someone can help me. I just downloaded the WitpTracker and followed the instructioons but when I double click on the .bat file nothing happens.
One thing I didn't do which may be the casuse is the part about -

"Copy the save game file to the directory.
This step is only temporary - we'll try to make it so you can load the file right from program's folder."

I don't understand what I have to do here. Isn't the save game file already in the directory?

Depends where you put Tracker, but usually it is run from a location outside the game ...
Hence you need to copy the save file over to this location ...

Make sure there are none of the files highlighted are there in your folder ... delete them. (If you had a first time error only or if you want to restart the DB afresh)

In the witptracker.properties file enter your details. Follow the instructions to enter...

If you still have a problem, open a dos box and go to the directory you installed Tracker and run the bat file ... eg. c>witptracker.bat

If there is an error message ... let me know

Tracker works by reading the data from a save game file each turn E.g. witp002.pws. To do this it need the file to be in the same folder that tracker is installed it. Simply copy the save file into the tracker folder and in the tracker.properties file use this name were it says save file. Note that you will have to copy the save file to tracker folder everytime you want to update tracker.

Looks like I was updating the assignment status of a leader (to unassigned) twice for the same turn. I don't know why I'm doing that (nothing really stands out staring at the code), but I suppose for now you can ignore the errors, since they are updating something that is already there.

Would it be possible for you to send me turn 114, turn 115 and the witptracker.properties file?

Bonjour,

Maybe some reminders but I did not find any post on them:
- On the Ships screen: the crew experience shown is the opposite (ie N/D instead of D/N like the header says)
- On the Task Forces screen: I can't see any ASW mission. Instead, they are shown as Surface Combat

I also had a problem in reading a turn (the 4th one). The Progress bar stopped at "Compare Task Forces" for minutes. I decided to stop the application and start again. The Alerts screen confirmed that the turn had been partly read. I decided to read it again and of course I received many error messages in the DOS box.
I can only see the last ones like this one:
 Table=VictoryPoints Values=(10,2513,7674,56,156,330)
java.sql.SQLException: Violation of unique constraint $$: duplicate value(s) for
column(s) $$: SYS_PK_109)

But, after a quick check on the screens, I can't see any problem on the DB.
What should I do, should I continue or should I start again a new db from the beginning?
Thanks.
Hervé

Finally I can reproduce the problem. The Progress bar stop at "Compares Task Forces". I can change Screens, and I can read again the turn. The second try works with some error messages in the DOS Box. It happens with the 5th turn read (8, 9, 11, 14 and 16th of december 1941)
There is no error message when the progress bar freezes.
If I read again the turn when the progress bar is blocked, then the process goes to the end but the alert screen is not complete. (no leaders and air group alert)
If I stop and restart the application, and I read again the turn, the process goes to the end successfully but at least one Base alert comes twice. The Victory Points are also doubled.

Wow, this tool is great!
The doubled records seem to be deleted when the application is restarted. It's now what I do each time there is a problem during a turn reading.
I had a second problem with the 12/18/41 (Progress bar blocked at "Compare Air Groups") and no problem on 12/19/41.
I continue my tests...
Seeing the number of alert, I would suggest to indicates Leaders improvement only for skills bigger than 60 for example (I found out that leaders who will not appear before 1000 days are shown in the Alert screen during their training with skill starting very low. It can be interesting but only at a certain level of aptitude)

I think you can continue as you were. I've heard of the reading freezing. Is it possible for you to send me the files so I can try to re-produce the problem (and hopefully fix it)?

Yes, I have a backup of db files and save file to reproduce the problem. Could you please pm me your email address?
The size of files (4 trackerdb files, witptracker.properties and save file) is approx 8.5MB.

Two other small things:
- Filter of Alert "last 5 turns" doesn't work. It shows all turns.
- History of pilots pools, country per country: The arrows up and down are difficult to understand. Sometime they are good, sometime not. I guess the figures are good, I can't check right now, so it's not very important.

I'll look at the problem with Alerts. As for the pilot pools, a green arrow usually means going in the direction you'd like it to, and red means the opposite. At least I wanted to color-code the increases and decreases, so it would be easy to spot. Coloring the text itself looked messy...

Yes, sorry I was not clear. Sometime there is one pilot more and the arrow is green, but sometime the arrow is red, even if the number is bigger. I could not see any logic

Yes, alot of us are many turns into the game. It's a pain to have to copy each individual one into the folder to add to the database.

Is there a way you can pick a folder...then the program goes out and searches for every WITP002.pws in that folder structure. I don't know how everyone else does it but I keep all my turns sorted by year/month/day.

This program is already able to read what number turn it is, so it should be able to keep track of a large number of files.

I am far from a programmer but I know enough to make annoying suggestions

Hi, I continue my tests
I have finished to enter my save files; 26 files.

It's really a remarkable tool!!!

A few comments on some issues that you maybe don't know but remember I had problems during reading of many turns that may be the cause of some:
- Ship Repairs view, the device column is not updated when repaired, it still shows the devices as damaged when they are not anymore. (might be interesting also to put the colum in red or add a symbol when >0 to underline this information)
- LCUs screen, the history button is fantastic for AAR for instance. But the last 4 columns are wrong. The losses of the unit are not substracted to the numbers of inf, eng, support, guns and vehicles.

A suggestion:
- with the large number of turns entered, it would be better to show the most recent turns on top of the screens where the turns are listed (Victory Points, Alerts)

Concerning the freeze in reading turns, it happened once when progress bar was at "Compare Task Forces" (the files I sent), once at "Compare LCUs" (?? can't remember exactly) and most of the time at "Compare Air Groups".
I have seen a message error once, but I can't be sure it was the reason of the freezing. The error message was the following and concerned the Supply needed of an LCU in China (-2030043134)

History still shows the turn where it happened. But again, I'm not sure it was the cause of the freezing because it's the only time I have seen an error message.

I hope it helps. I'm again very impressed by your work

Will there be a function that will allow you to import a large number of turns?

Do you mean load multiple turns in one action? If so, it's something I would like to do...

This is on our list. I keep my with the turn number appended (e.g., WITP020.pws.081).

You'll need to try harder to be annoying, though.
