In thread on General Discussion I said that japanese don't play wargames and on this forum are more active finnish users than japanese ones. Though nobody argued with it, I might have got one of two wrong. Anyways this game (along with UV and WPO) should be interesting for japanese, becouse it let's player to play admiral Yamato and conquer the Pacific. So does anyone in here confess being japanese? And rest of you: do you know any japanese playing this game (or UV, or WPO, or other serious wargame)?

Matti, but who knows that. I think they said around 10% of the players are here, on these forums. Which means the vast majority is out there (90%). Where are they from, who knows.

Anyway, I think there were some Japanese here.

Your question is quite weird though

While googleling some stuff, I can positively say I already came accross some japanese website about WitP - looks like some grognards are playing up there too.

Ah here, this is it, but it's about UV too.

I don't think it is a strange question.

One of the best games I ever played was me playing allies and a fellow from Germany playing axis (SPWAW IIRC). We had a blast - both with the actual game and the mega-smack talk that went with it.

I would like to PBEM with a Japanese player -- always gives new insight.

Feltan

No one ever Finnish's this game

It would be interesting to know the numbers, it is often portrayed that the japanese "do not recognise" this period of their history.  It would provide some insight to the potential missed, and the overwhelming force which could be brought against it. (Without getting into the politics of it)

It is very good to avoid politics here

I'd be interested to see a graph of the nationalities we have on these forums. 50% Americans, 15% British, 20% Aussie, 5% NZ/other Commonwealth, 10% misc?

Well the only way to determine that is to create some kind of survey topic

I'm first generation American on my mother's side. She was born and raised in England.

My biological father's family immigrated from England sometime before 1750.

So I guess I'm an American with an English/American heritage.

English/Scottish/Spanish here. My mother's family arrived in Virginia back in the mid-1600's, great-grandfather Kay arrived in New Orleans in 1865 as a teacher of the deaf. Great-great grandfather Sanchez served the whole war in the Donalsonville Artillery of Louisiana (gee, how did his daughter meet that teacher?!).

I'm one of the few that's had a real pizza. Trust me, after that pizza hut is kinda nasty.

Sine you are from Chicago, how you liking our nice warm weather down here?

I'm American - but 2nd generation Polish and 2nd generation Swiss.  I've been fascinated with Japan since I read Shogun in 8th grade.  But I'm still glad we won.

Bloody Australian, Mate!!!

Relos came to OZ in 1850, not convicts, but ships deserter. Went to the Gold Fields at Ballarat and came out a plumber. I suppose it was all those holes he dug.

Background on on side is Sciots via England, the other is Welsh/English.

Part of the rablle went to the US of A in about 1670ish, fought in 1776, 1812 and on bothe sides in the ACW.
