Can't see my own avatar or any images in my AAR. Few other images being displayed. Pages from other sites seem to be loading OK, so has something changed with the Matrix site? Was going to post an AAR update, but no point if I can't check uploaded images.

Er, aside from the fact that the entire Matrix site is in the process of being upgraded, then no, nothing has changed...

Oh, okay... hadn't seen any announcement - probably my fault for not doing so.

Will hold off until things settle down.

Hasn't been any announcement, and it took everyone by surprise. I've just had a few hours more to get used to it...

In keeping with political correctness, Matrixgames has given everybody the all new "unity" avatar.

Does that make anybody feel warm and cosy?

Hi all,

Finally managed to have (for the time being at least) proper time set to forums - I had to select +15 hours in my settings to get proper current time (and I live In Europe = CET "Central European Time" which is now, in summer, 2 hours from UTC = ZULU = "Greenwich Mean Time")...

Is this an Origins thing? Go to Origins, change website! The new site is a bit different from the old, but not by that much since I could still find the Forums!

I'm assuming the upgrade is till in progress, at least I hope so as I just updated an AAR and couldn't post the graphic to accompany it.

It all sounds so Orwellian! Is it 1984? Where is the Ministry of Truth when you need them?

Yes. I see T is only down to about 23,000 posts now.

Thanks Bruce! I hope to be featuring it in a mod when AE comes out. I already have all the artwork I need for it. Hand crafted myself.

Post count is important?

"Important" might not be the right word... i think post count does indicate a certain amount of devotion to the forum, and a lot of work goes into some of the posts... imagine if (say) Cuttlefish's or Mandrake's AAR were suddenly gone, along with all the work...

i know i put a lot of work into collecting funny, interesting or strange photos that i posted on the Thread, and feel diminished by them being gone in this and the "Great Abridgement" that happened about this time last year.
