Fried bologna sandwiches for me.

Finally, a man with my kind of culinary class (all of it low).

What do you throw in with yours? I start with some sliced green tomatoes and onions in oil, little crushed fresh garlic, then add the bologna when they are just about done, and finish 'em ... mmmm, good.

What's on yer sandweedge? Any cheese? What's yer choice of bread?

I consider bologna to be one of the great underrated foods. When I was a kid, my old man told me it was sliced elephant penis, which threw me way off until I was old enough to know better.

Texicans. They know what's good to eat.

Well, I toast two plain slices of white bread, slap some american cheese (velveeta is good) and saute the bologna in some olive oil.
Sometimes I slap some mayo and sometimes mustard, usually serve it as is without a spread.
Sourdough or olive bread is a nice alternative as well.
Tonight it's the usual.

mmmmmmmmmmmm... Velveeta. Should you eat it or just inject it directly into your arteries, do ya think?

One time, I had about half a can of frijoles refritos in the fridge from yesterday's dinner. Nuked 'em and spread 'em on my fried bologna sandwich. Good eatin', bro.

Yer right. No matter what bread it is, it's gotta be toasted (either in the Sunbeam or under the broiler). I like to slice some trendy "artisan" bread (leftover and a little stale, of course) fairly thin and spread it with a combo of butter (no margarine for me) and spices (basil is great for this and oregano works, too, as long as you don't confuse it with your stash, if you know what I mean) with some crushed, fresh garlic. If she gets a little too toasty and sets off the smoke detector, oh, well. Crunchy is better for me, even if it's a little black around the edges.

How could this live ammo incident have happened? In order for an auto or semi-auto weapon to function with blanks, you need to put on a blank adapter - which basically obstructs the barrel of the gun... This should pretty much make the gun blow up if regular ammo is fired... unless the guy using the live ammo didn't put on a blank adapter as well... in which case one has to wonder if it was an accident...

It happens Bob. I've seen it. What I saw was live ammo with a blank adaptor. Big explosion and lots of hurt people. I've also seen blanks and live ammo mixed together. It's amazing the stupidity of people sometimes.

Yes - i could see that (i.e. - an explosion) happening, but the story that i heard (on radio) was that the guy SHOT SEVERAL PEOPLE... of course, the story could be wrong (i.e. - maybe the gun blew up and injured several people)... my question: how could you shoot more than one person with a blank adapter on?

Apparently the guy sprayed live bullets (i.e. so he did actually fired at least several of them) - so there was no explosion at all...

BTW, is there a need for blan adapter in all modern automatic rifles? What gun French use?

They use the FA-MAS, and it comes with a little round blank adapter. You have to have it, in order to trap enough gas to work the bolt.

With FAMAS, regular weapon for french infantry, you have to use a blank adapter. If firing real bullet with it, you blow your gun. The french medias are dumb enough to explain the accident with no precision: they have no idea about how to fire blank shot!! To shoot on 16 people take a little time, even with long burst. I can't explain myself how it could happen...even with stupidity....

It is purely criminal. Sadly for all of France's military this is a black eye.
