Did you get your economic stimulus check yet?
If the Feds put more zeroes to the right of the first crooked number I might be stimulated a bit more.

"The Swamp Song"

How did you know?
I really miss those naked animal contests but can't partake unless it is a weekend variety.
Could you perhaps explore a weekend variant for poor wittle ol me?

Yah, that really is a pain in the backside having to worry about THE THREAD being sent away to oblivion at the whim of the mods and their evil empire.

What if...
somene could be designated as THREAD archivist(is that a word??) who can back up the posts in pre-selected intervals and they alone can be like the Priory of Scion?

That is a LOT of work - i tried it once when THREAD II came out - it look a long time to do just a 100 or so pages...

i can UNDERSTAND why this stuff happens, and why Matrix doesn't want to restore The THREAD (too much work)... but, it is frustrating to lose all that stuff (10,800+ posts so far (or thereabouts) for me, so far, and a bunch more that are "locked down" in Thread I (maybe 1-2K? ...)

Anyway, since this is the THIRD time it's happened (in one form or another), it is more than a little discouraging.

Even IF there is an archivist, this stuff would be inaccessible to the forum, methinks... although at least having access to it in some form might be nice...

Well, this is a sort of religion, isn't it?
I wonder how difficult it really is to move all of those old pages back fully restored to the place where it belongs, among other places, deep inside our hearts.

When they lost the 6 months of Thread II, i think they said it would take many hours to restore them, and that was about 1/4 or so the posts (i am guessing) of Thread III.
