I was a wargame nut in the eighties. I was even in a wargames club. (played rugby and almost made provincials but wasn't serious enough...got a lot of ribbing from my rugby buddies for being a wargame geek but I could drink them under the table , an asset in those circles, and clotheslined them during practice matches so that geek comment was short lived, heehee) Here is a list of a few I enjoyed most. Ironbottom Sound (Quarterdeck Games), Pacific War, a big bastard (Victory Games), Flattop, another big bastard (AH), Bismarck (AH), Star Fleet Battles(Task Force Games), Destroyer Captain (QG), Carrier Strike and Tokyo Express, both excellent solitaire games (VG), Wooden Ships and Iron Men (AH), Squad Leader (AH), Stalingrad (AH), Submarine (AH), Tobruck (AH). I was also a big Gary Grigsby nut. Lets see...Guadalcanal Campaign, North Atlantic '86, Bomb Alley, War in Russia, Kampfgruppe, Warship, War in the South Pacific (only played for a few months then the floppy failed and could not get a new copy:( ). Also bought PacWar, but never really got into it because it was not user friendly in my mind. Blasphemy!!!:D
