Status: offline 		Good thanks overall. Have less time for RL nowadays though with the job. Still enjoying it but I am finding it tiring me out. Thats not good since it means I haven't the time or effort to put in PBEM as much as I used to!

I still have a look around here frequently but just don't have the time to post as much

How are you doing?

For me it was Kosovo. It wasn't so much the cold, it was the fact that I was stuck on top of a mountain with no trees or cover and constant wind blowing. That sucked.

The point is - it doesn't GET to be 130 deg F over body temperature outside... we are talking weather here, not volcanoes!

It can get darn close to 130 in AZ in the summer. Single hottest hour I spent was at the air base outside of Phoenix (forget the base name). They marched us cadets out onto the tarmac in flight suits and mid-day and stood us at attention. Two cadets passed out from the heat.

The coldest place I've ever lived was here in CO, but that's not saying much as my other homes were Houston, DC and LA.

I wasn't there a year, but I'll agree with Mr. Twain. The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.

Reminds me of an FTX in south-central Ohio one winter where we got freezing rain over night. Every tent was covered in about 3" of ice in the morning. We all had to chip our way out of our pup tents.

That was would be my next guess....but i believe Oak Ridge is where they produced the U 235.

Actually, now that I think of it. Oak Ridge barely existed in 1940, I think and there was probably no Uranium refinement going on.

It's probably someplace like Pittsburg.

Status: offline 		There was a big refinery in Southern Ohio that was closed up some years ago.  Costs tons of money to clean it up.  Still not cleaned up yet.  People wandering around with 3 arms down there, at least those that haven't died of cancer yet.
