I want to fight certain battles when patch is ready, plz tell me if you have anything close to this.EAST FRONT-AREA{Vyasovka}6th panzer-General Erhard Raus-brilliant offencive with a destroyed division,he used staff ,drivers lufft crews,it was unreal, this offensive was followed by a second Snail offencive.what was so neat was that in the mist of his division being almost non existent he launched this offencieve and actualy used it to train newly arrived officers, they had to hold forward positions and observe and were ? on tactics.General Erhard Raus was so detailed in the planning of any thing he was in control of,he realy was a hell of a general.

I'm not sure if there is a scenario already that deals with this particular engagement.

On the other hand, the Campaign Series does provide you with all the tools to create your own scenario. An OOB editor, a map editor and the scenario editor.

I believe R.E.LEE would be referring to Raus' defense along a section of the Dnepr River in '43, if that helps narrow it down (and yes, the guy's 'reactive defense' strategy WAS brilliant).

The AI is very objective based. The AI would be best set up to be on the defensive.

I may recommend designing the scenario to be played versus a human instead!

Yes, the editors are extremely easy to use once you start playing with them.

could you provide a link to this, I tried searching myself to no avail, even used the nifty search tool, nothing, changed it to all topics, not just those in last year, nothing.

Hello R.E. LEE,

Now that you appearantly fell victim to the 'scenario-design-disease' (), you might be interested in developing more scenario's on the actions in which General Erhard Raus was involved, the following book could give you some guidance:

Erhard Raus: Panzer Operations, compiled and translated by Steven H. Newton. This book is published by Da Capo Press (member of the Perseus Books Group). The paperback edition (ISBN: 0306814099) costs about 20 US dollar or 12 Br. Pounds (Sterling). For further information: www.dacapopress.com

This book will offer you quite some (possible) scenario's or even a LCG.

Succes,

Hajo Baltjes
