I'm having an AI game as the CSA, and just when I detatched a CSC (right-clicked) that specific leader disappeared from the map altogether. He still shows up in the roster, withblank" area and "0" delay. After reloading the same game today (saved a few turns later - I have a separate save file from exactly after the "teleport"), area is "?" and delay is "on map", but poor Wilcox is nowhere to find...

Help me save him!

I just had a similar situation, with Lucius Walker, walking off into the Twilight Zone. He was attached to Van Dorn's Cavalry Corps in Humbolt. I had the force selected, where all units and CSC's are showing for the force, and Lucius was selected. I was then dragging the cursor about the map, highlighting various groups, to see who might need another cavalry commander, when I got a little too heavy on the overly sensitive touchpad on my laptop. This caused him to try and move somewhere. I thought it was to Nashville, but he wasn't there. Then I noticed that a dark green arrow, like when a force can "move back" was drawn to the Union forces at Paducah, but he wasn't there, either. So I checked the leaders roster, and it is blank for his location, with a 0 delay.

File is attached, zipped. PM me for the password, if you need it.

Hm, what happens if you "disassemble" the force he was attached to, does he reappear at all?

Also, try to check if he doesnt show up the following turn. That sometimes happens with some odds bugs in this engine.

Since I was only a few minutes into a resumed save game, I didn't bother with too much testing, and just reloaded it. As I did not play on from the screwed up point, I won't be able to check a later turn, since it is my PBEM with Erik. If you want to get our passwords, you can run the check from the saved file attached in my previous posting.

I did toy around with the idea of dissembling the force, but decided to just get back to playing...

When fooling around and undoing many moves:

I've seen disappearing leaders, as well, that reappeared the next turn.

I've seen this with CSC off.

I've seen clicking on an individual unit and having the pop top an entirely different unit, actually an entire division.

Once I clicked on a particular region and was shown the content of a different region. The next time the issue had fixed itself. There is some oddball thing happening occasionally which seems hard to pin down - I remember chasing the same kind of bug 3 years ago in the same engine but no luck. Luckily its fairly rare but still annoying - and often saving + loading again will fix the issue or atleast the issue will be gone the turn after.
