Robert , to be fair , my biase against them dates from over 20+ years ago. I'm sure they are a totally different company now. But I hold long term grudges against corporation that abuse me. You should see my feelings against a  certain tire company!

Hmmm... my experience is second hand - a close friend had a multi-year wrangle with them... it DID end up making him rich (once court papers were filed, there was an immediate large out-of-court settlement), but it was many years of intense financial pain before it happened... not twenty years ago, but maybe they've changed in the last 10 or so...

Mine was a simpler , and less happy case. As a young sailor, they signed me up at a lower rate than I was paying with another company. I thought all was well , till I received a notice of licence revocation from my state for not having insurance. Even though they cashed my check , they felt I was too young for their "special Program", and declined my policy. They didn't bother to inform me. I had to spend several hundred dollars in legal fee's to get my licence restored (and was without for several weeks). Then had the ignominity of having the notation on my record that my licence had been suspended (I had never had so much as a parking ticket!). Then I had to pay a much higher rate to get my original policy replaced. (Because I had a suspended licence!). This occurred in 1979 , not a good year to be in the Military (many of my fellow sailors who had families were on food stamps), and all that money proved a huge strain.   I suppose that I'll forgive them someday , but that day has not yet come.

Well, the war has begun. Robert said he had some nasty pictures he'd post, and he did, so now I'm retaliating.
