What are others thoughts on hit percentages (%) of base accuracy for weapon systems being too high for OPFOR forces - I'm looking to make a few mods dealing with Afghanistan.....and I believe the base accuracey % are too high (so I'm tweaking them down......curious of others thoughts).

Also, are there any other map mods out there? Dealing with more Mountainous terrian?

Hit accurancy is modified by range, cover and experience of the firer.

Basically, the base accurancy value is for an elite soldier firing at exposed target at point blank range.

They should ask themselves why people who finish schools burned out due to mobbing aren't receiving high enough compensations to not seek vengeance.

Yes - I understand this - But with playtesting....I still believe accuracy is a bit high for OPFOR forces (especially when trying to simulate Taliabn type enegaments).....I think it needs to be tweaked lower - Around the 331 range -

That's because weapons stats in CCMT are wrong. AK-47 has Point Blank range of 100m, Close Range of 200 and Medium Range of 300m.
For comparision, StG-44 in CC4 has Point Blank range of 20m, Close Range of 40 and Medium Range of 120m.

Good point! (I had thought Spinel's mod had looked to fix some of this.......it hasn't now that I look)...I will adjust these ranges too! To make them more accurate -

100M point blank range? WTF??

I plan to do likewise with my updated / tweake DB - Adjust all ranges to more accurate levels (while taking the game engine into account) - but adjusting the PB, Close Range, Med ranges - As well, I still plan to tweak down the accuracy levels of the OPFOR forces (especially those units I have representing Tabliban types). As I think the accuracy levels are still a bit on the high side....

That is what makes CCMT so nice - You have the options and ability to tweak ratings as you see fit - Hopefully the next patch addresses some pathfinding issues.....tweaks for better infantry modeling....and makes elite units better...

Has Matrix ever given any reasonable reasons....for why this is? Why the ranges of many weapons are so clearly flawed? Does it have anything to do with the maps and how the game engine assoicates weapon systems within it? Or is it just flawed and in need of corrected adjustments.....from there where the game engine and maps will work just fine with these corrected adjustments...

It was like that in CCM. I'm not sure why, because it has nothing to do with reality. I mean, in that data AKM has higher range than .50 sniper rifle.
The game seems to interpret the data the same way as in CCV.

Well at least we have the option of making the needed changes - Big plus! -  Plus sounds like Matrix will be putting out another patch in the not to distant future......which is great!
