Our niece has arrived and our son is out of his mind with excitement for our trip..... and we don't leave until Tuesday.

I'm hitting the rack to get some sleep.  Good night, all.

you have to be responsible for your niece in the carribean..............thats never a good thing.

Exactly ... in the "old days" when employment applications used to have a "race" block for us to fill out (optionally of course) ... I enjoyed checking "Other" and filling in "Human" ... I'd probably get in trouble with "HR" if I did that now-a-days.

The best quote I ever heard from one of my friends and co-worker was when he complained about his right arm feeling"like pins and needles" and management rushed him to the hospital.
He said while he was there the nurse in the ER asked him some questions.
One of them was "are you sexually active"
his reply was "you mean with other people?"

The guy is a piece of work, I tell ya.

Dixie, we're both heading to warm, sandy places, but I think I'll enjoy my time in the Caribbean just a bit more than you.

Bugger off

Quite probably you will, unless there is some sort of 'misunderstanding' at customs, involving rubber gloves and a private room

I believe that the place I am headed to is actually hot, rather than warm...and there will be slightly less sea. But there will be more camel spiders On the plus side, I have three weeks leave sorted for when I get home Maybe if the USAF aren't too busy I'll get to see a B-1 go off the taxiway into the bondu It's bound to happen again some time...

PS: I hope it rains...especially for you

Ok, no camel spiders in the Turks, but we do have scorpions.

Stay safe, my friend!

Cheers mate. I fully intend to stay safe

When do you leave?

Think he said next Monday.

wow that sucks no bob and no uss and no dixie.............my thread what is happening. though we did get a faber sighting on the thread

hows the job hunt going T and hows life treating you these days?

yes

well, it was only $50, to a co-worker.
I bet he would NOT choke this time, he's married to Chrissy Evert and can't lose!

Job hunt has slowed right down (it's summer after all), so I'm working AE and weight-loss, waiting for potential employers to come back to work.

It only means that your posting responsibilities will pick up young man...don't be a slacker.

I have often noticed that as time passes people come to the Thread and people go other places to do the Thread's work, but the Thread always continues...at least until the admins perform server maintenance.

No Native American that I am aware of but if I went to CU I could just do like Ward Churchill did.

Ward Churchill was the chair of the Ethnic Studies Dept. at University of Colorado Boulder. He stirred up some hot political controversy that I do not want to get into on Matrix forums. As part of the investigation it turned out that his Indian ancestry, which had played a part in his hiring and rapid promotion, was unverifiable. Additionally in his writing it was found that he had plagiarized and made up sources. After a review of his writing by his peers it was recommended that he be terminated. CU has since fired him but he looks to tie up taxpayers money in a large lawsuit against the school.

So I was just making a passing jibe that if I was at CU I could be a Native American.

THere are at least two others on the forum I know of. I think Dallas has us beat though for representation.
