Carl, managed to kill all your Virus/SpyWare/MalllWare problems?

Hi Leo

Yes mate. Trojan.agent was a real PITA to get rid of. A free 30 day trial of the marvellous X-block utility finally sorted it out. It had written code into my Registry to allow itself to re-download when I went back on-line after cleaning it off. Mike (1EyedJacks) had diagnosed what it was doing and when I did an internet search on the particular trojan, there were 2 utilities recommended that were able to totally clean it. I think I will probably buy the utility when my trial is up as I am so grateful. I wasted a lot of money on things that did not work though. It was very frustrating that not every tool that would identify the trojan was capable of dealing with it. McAfee was a bit disappointing because it did not pick it up once. Spyware Doctor could catch it but was unable to kill it off forever. I cleaned my Registry and that did not work either and it was only the very thorough nature of X-Block that wiped it out. I have three error messages for registry items that come up as not present during startup and they must have been where it was hiding... Spyware Doctor's support was apalling btw. I did not try McAfee's as they wanted $80 for the privelege, even though their systems were incapable of spotting the infection!

Hi Leo

I only tried Ad-aware. All it seemed to to was catch the cookies I could get rid of myself. I had 2 AV packages going and really could not fit another one on as the PC was going really slow at that point. The SpyBot was my next stop if the 2 recommended programmes hadn't worked. Thanks for the suggestions when I was getting frustrated mate.

I would guess that LogBoy's getting the same type of rejection letters that I am... Job application rejection letters.

Ditto, but taking everything into consideration I'd have to say employment is highly overrated.
