OK, Thread Brothers.  I have decided that we need to take up a collection, buy, and ship a good pair of nail clippers to Brother Terminus.

We could call it Club Foot.

We fly home on Tuesday, with a long layover in Miami. I am completely unwound, and not at all ready to go home.

Listening to Anita Baker, currently on stage down the hill, while sitting on my deck in the breeze, sipping a rum and coke, and catching up on some AAR reading.  The Lou Gramm Band played for about an hour already.  Lots of Foreigner hits.

Bobo, I need to file a formal complaint.  The officials at the dock said there is still no sign of the Bobo Lines beer tanker.

Agreed, though the spiraling town a toilet looks a bit ominous...we'll assume he's spiraling down a toilet...but in a good way.

I assume you are sad about the horse - nobody is solicitous of the feelings of a goat.

I once lived just down the road from a farm where goats were raised. They kept a sign out front that said, "Goats - Buy, Sell, or Lease." I couldn't for the life of me figure out under what circumstances you would want to lease a goat, but, sure enough, I discovered later that people rent them to graze the weeds off of areas they either can't or don't want to mow.

Hi, Leo. We seem to be in a sadly small crowd until the folks on the other side of The Big Pond shake themselves out of the sheets.

Morning!

Yes... at one time yesterday (Saturday) I was the one and only here...

BTW, Summer = vacation time (I am at home and will go to seaside in 10 days)!

Very nice. I have just gotten home from a trip to Naples, where I looked over, sea tested, and bought a 12-meter schooner, then sailed her home, where she now rides at the slip waiting for our next adventure together.

It's great being retired. I just hope I don't turn into some hopeless old geezer for a few years so I can enjoy it for awhile.

WOW!!!

12 meter schooner is a nice ship - post some pics!

BTW, can you handle it yourself (i.e. alone)?

I stuck one over in the "disregard" thread. She's not new, and she's not fast, but she's a sturdy, well-built, and thoroughly modernized craft with everything you need except the woman thing, but that's okay, I just tossed one and will soon find another. The four days from Naples to home were a time I will remember as being among the most fun I have ever had in my stupid little life.

I can handle her without too much difficulty if I'm not doing a lot of complex sailing, like tacking. She packs a nearly-new Volvo diesel for times when it's just not possible for a one-man crew to do the job.
