Is anyone still playing Panzer Elite? Not Panzer Elite Action! I was thinking that if Great Invasions could get picked up, surely Matrix should consider Panzer Elite SE. There is a large number of mods out there and the sim is still solid. A new face lift and it could sell quite a few copies. The code has been released to the modders and they are doing some really good things. What do you all think?

That game is pretty old, it would probably need alot of work.

Man I would love to see Panzer Elite with a new 3D engine...since PE there really isn't anything out there to replace it (WW2)

The modders have done alot. The SE edition was pretty good when it came out. Work is still continuing. I would just love to have the Vista compatability and everything worked out similar to the Close Combat 3 was updated. The physics is pretty good from what I remember but the graphics could use a update.

I know the source code was released but Im sure this could be bought too considering how much money they are making on it lately, which cant possibly be much. Why not buy the source code and treat it like War Plan Orange?

There's a tank sim due out I believe the title is T-34 vs Tiger or some such thing, that might not be the title but a marketing line. They had an early demo that let you see at least what the game would be like.

After ww2ol I havent found any other tank sim interesting. I was part of a german panzer platoon for 3-4 years driving p2/p3/p4 and variants plus the odd 232 with voice coms and combined arms including infantry and air support. After that experience no other regular tank sim could do it for me anymore. I even skipped panzer elite because of that.
