Greetings to everyone,

bought the game upon release (over a year ago) and have been reading many of the posts and AARs on forum (Kaiser Ulver, I really enjoyed your AARs!). First of all I must say I think it's a great game. Since the AI is not a very interesting challenge (I never even bothered to play through a whole game) , I'm really looking forward to play my first PBEM game. My only regret is the lack of support on this title. First, there were the delays before release. More importantly, there are still several quite critical and well-known bugs who haven't been ironed out more than a year after release. To my great satisfaction, I have noticed that Frank is finally back on the forums and promises to take a look into things. I hope he starts moving fast, because I don't think anyone will start a new game until the corps building bug and some of the food and naval issues have been adressed. I still have two weeks without regular access to the internet. Is there any chance a new patch will be out by then? More than a year after release, I really don't think a fully playable product is too much to ask for. But maybe it's all the "passive" players, like myself, who never writes on the forums, who have lulled Frank Hunter and Matrixgames into believing that there is little or no interest in this title, hence the unsatisfactory support.

I don't think the support is anything near unsatisfactory, it has been great. The last patch pretty much worked on all bugs known at that point. And Frank had always been very responsive to all questions and bugs. Since the last release we found new bugs, or the release created new bugs that were not in the game before it. Ok that is not what is supposed to happen, I give you that. But **** happens. Of course everybody wants an error-free product, but your post makes it sound like the game is unplayable.... which is not true. I had a lot of really great games since I bought it exactly 360 days ago.

Actually Frank has been very responsive to feedback from GoA players. He has not only fixed all the identified bugs but has made rule changes and other modifications to the game suggested by the players. This is now a very polished game that is highly playable. I have been playing it non stop by PBEM since it came out last August.

Point taken, guess my comments were over the top and there's no point in continuing this discussion. Hope to play against some of you people one of these days.
