Which version do you have,Jaro. In version 4.+ there are two of our newer campaigns. Have you played those yet. There are at least two more in the works and should be out very soon, "Utah to the Rhine" and another on the UK vs Germany. William Rusco is working on a short Pacific campaign on the fighting on Tulagi Island. I have the beginnings of another on the Japanese "A Rising and Setting Sun." Campaigns are much harder to do and take a lot more time. There can be from 5 -25 scenarios (or more) in a campaign. Each one has to be designed and tested...and that takes time. So to all of you, when you get a campaign, realize that it represents literally hundreds of hours of hard, tedious work. A campaign takes a lot of time to do and is a LOT of work. Believe me. We'll try to have a new campaign about every other month or so. Just no shortcuts here. Campaigns, good campaigns, will never be mass-produced. But we hear your request and we are attentive to it. Thanks...Wild Bill ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

Speaking of campaigns... Any suggestions on what is a good medium size campaign vs. AI. I'm thinking from a rookie perspective, although I don't mind a tough fight. I ask because I've noticed some scens vs. AI are waaaaaay too easy. I don't want to spend too much time on a campaign only to find it really isn't balanced when the AI has a side. So, I guess the question is: What is a good campaign for a newbie vs. AI? ------------------ "None but the brave deserves the fair" - John Dryden

Preparing the Way is a smaller campaign about 4-7 battles, depending on how well you do. Heroes is a little tougher and longer, but winnable. I don't think either one is a walk through. But if you eat razor blades for breakfast, you'll want to try the upcoming Utah to the Rhine. I promise you this one will separate the men from the boys. I'm sure one or two will breeze through it but that will not be the standard. It is the most thoroughly tested campaign I have every done. 7 volunteers from this forum, Wiliam Rusco, Randy Casebier, Tombstone, John Keenan, Rick Case, Justin Taylor and Jim Raasch have been testing for two weeks now. Yrjö Hakkarainen and Steve Wang came in late and they are testing it. Good old Tankhead and Klaus Mueller Buschbaum are also testing it. About one-half of this number have finished. I've incorporated dozens of suggestions and corrections from these guys. They did great! As a result it should play well and it will be hard. Your call, my friend. Look for this last one any day now. Cool. Before chewing on Gillettes I think I'll try "Preparing the Way." Is that generally played with CC on or off? How about any of the other campaigns? It looks like a cool option the brings depth to the game...but if the designer didn't intend it I'm not going to bang my head against a Panzer. I'm off to North Africa!!! ------------------ "None but the brave deserves the fair" - John Dryden
