Yeah, back in those days none of us knew anything, other than a handful of playtesters. Remember, the game was a week or so old at that time.

Me too. I'm pretty sure had I started with 1.0 I wouldn't be here now...but then some might think that a good thing.

I'm still a bit amazed that no one really seems to have done a witp for Europe. I would think it would be even more popular, but maybe not.

Well, there aren't really any A-list turn-based wargame developers over here.

Martian analogy, actually. It's much more complicated. Try this link VSGW: Brer Rabbit

THIS is Martian humor. Do be warned.....read with your mouth full at your own risk!

Jane and Arlene

Jane and Arlene are outside their nursing home, having a drink and a smoke, when it
starts to rain. Jane pulls out a condom, cuts off the end, puts it over her
cigarette,and continues smoking.

Arlene : What in the hell is that?

Jane: A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet.

Arlene : Where did you get it?

Jane: You can get them at any drugstore.

The next day, Arlene hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms.

The pharmacist, obviously embarrassed, looks at her kind of strangely (she is after all, over 80 years of age), but very delicately asks what brand of condom
she prefers.

'Doesn't matter Sonny, as long as it fits on a Camel.'

The pharmacist fainted.

A Med version would have some interest to me, but the ETO is a land game, and Witp isn't so hot in that arena. Gimme World in Flames on the computer and I'll be a very happy man.

Yeah, but not a lot of people in Europe would buy it. The closest to a developer is probably AGEOD.

Ok, my Rufes just came up agianst some F4Us and won. Not what I expected 4 Rufes for 7 Corsairs? Odd to say the least they must have been low exp since mine were 86ish, still??? Are these better planes then I thought or was it just a great die roll?

The American female beach volleyball team is wonderful.

They some men camera operators. They seem to be cutting off the shots above the, um, "interesting" angles.

Read the Rufe best practice thread in the main room.

Rufe's aren't as good as zeros but odds and pilot experience...and altitude are very important. My guess is they other guy had pretty inexperienced pilots and the odds were even...and you got a very good die roll.
