Ok-

So I took your fellas suggestion and I launched Wittmann's Gamble tonight (I was only gonna LOOK- I'm supposed to be studying for my Microsoft certification) and..well... let's just say I need a cigarette and 8 hours of sleep now. :D After the spanking I received (twice) on "King of the Hill", this is just what I needed to rally the troops. I kinda felt bad for the Limey Bastards, but MAN that was fun... Is it sick to enjoy the thrill of driving right through retreating crews to get to the next AFV? And how scary is it that ONE German tank can wreak that much havoc?!? I'm just glad I wasn't on the business-end of that a$$-whuppin'....

Auslander,

Hate to do it to you again, buddy, but have you tried the Ramelle scenarios? They are the Saving Private Ryan battles, complete with all the characters. Should be right there on your scenario list....

Ha.

Here something from my experience:

Two british officers, seated with the back to some APC,having a cup of tea.

Distant rumbling
"suger?"
"shure!"
"no milk today"
"it's war, after all"
trees breaking, the distinct sound of a 8.8 shell striking a tank at close range.
Explosion, fire, smoke

"Disgusting"
"Really"
Tiger Tank emerges from the woods, turret turning for the next target - this time the first APC in the column
"barbarians - why don't they understand the concept of 'tea-time' ?"
"would you mind putting your tea aside and handing me that PIAT?"
"oh shure, here"
"thanks"
aimes.
Tiger is obviously reloading and turns to overrun the APC meanwhile.

Ka- BOOOOM!!!!
tiger baldy mauled, smoking, sitting still.
german crew jumping out, disappearing into the nearby woods without a word.

".. think the tea has got a bit cold by now .. isn't it a shame?"

...

You liked it?

I didn't when I looked for some cheer-up after getting my **** handed to me in some Wild Bill scen - at first, that is.

After cooling down it gave me a good laugh, after all :)

Hi, Auslander!

Since you liked fooling around with Wittmann's Tiger, now you can try some heavy "Tiger fun" with the following scenarios:

the Last Round , by Dr.Klaus "HORRIDO" Mueller-Buschbaum, hosted by the Steel Panthers Arsenal web site

Wittmann's Return - 2 by Brent Richards, hosted by The ARMOR Site!

The Paw of the Tiger, by Jim 'Figmo' Faletti. This is a v4.5 scenario, but Figmo promised me an update to v7.1 soon...Anyway, you can give it a try. Hosted by The ARMOR Site!

Finally, go to the Wild Bill Wilder's Triple Tiger Threat page and download the three Tiger scenarios ("A Hungry Tiger"; "A Wounded Tiger" - Easy and Hard versions; and "A Lonely Tiger") by the Master of All SPWAW Designers. Hosted by The ARMOR Site!

Feel free to browse through my web site. There are lots of info on the Tiger tanks, and more scenarios and campaigns with and without Tigers. Also, you'll find almost everything that is about SPWAW available to download. :)

I hope this helps you to get some more fun with SPWAW!
And last, but not least, buy the Megacampaigns!;) You will reach a new level of wargaming enjoyment with them.

Kind regards,

Fab

I am NEVER leaving the house again- I am just lucky that my wife pays the bills and tends to the chillen's... it leaves me time for more "important" pursuits. And speaking of being blissfully happy, I am rewatching Band of Brothers... I can't wait for that to come out on DVD.
