Marshall,

One of the most important AI fixes in the next game must be on how the computer DOWs and it actually attakcing after a DOW. There are far too many lases of war. The AI game I just started has Austria controlling Sweden and Turkey controlling Morocco after 3 months of play. Unless it intends to attack on the enxt turn, it should wait on the DOW. A lapse of war should be a very rare thing and should only happen as a combined result of a DOW and an unexpected land movement from an opponent that yuo are forced to respond to.

I've seen the code where Sweden goes to lapse. It typically happens when the invader conquers Finland by iteself thus leaving no enemy in Sweden. I have improved this a bit by making the AI look to prevent lapses at the end of her phase.
