If you mean since Mary Carey ran for Governor of California, then I agree. I'm sure that as long as we only talk (discreetly and with a modicum of civility) about how hot Palin looks, the thread will stay open. However, how long do you think a thread about a politician is going to stay out of politics?

Bad Judge. Bad, bad Judge...

Erm... somehow I doubt the criteria being used for the assessment was 'hotness', JD.

lol....I don't care JAMiAM...I got my say.

I'm not talking about her political stance/accreditations or beliefs...I'm being totally shallow here

Not me who takes it off topic...I leave that to "the others"

As for your answer Mr Hertston, if I were to retorte, then I would be taking this topic where I refuse to...so I won't retorte...suffice to say...err...no...I refuse to be drawn

I agree with JD and actually think that she WAS chosen because of her hotness! (Youth, woman... etc.)

It doesn't take much to be hotter than Hillary! Room temperature is hotter than Hillary.

She has a square jaw, but other than that, yeah she is pretty cute, which I think was part of the point. She has that "Stacey's Mom" sort of allure (and the Daily Show pointed out how she looks both like Tina Fey and the rauncy librarian from practically every <adult film> with a raunchy librarian).

But the "hottest women in politics?" I don't know about that. The Italians had Ilona Staller (aka Cicciolina) who actually WAS a porn star (although, to be fair, she isn't hot as much as slutty looking).

Besides, everyone remembers the real hottest woman to be involved or associated in politics... (totally safe for work).

Hilary looks more like Eleanor than Sarah does.

If you think she looks hot now, just wait until she becomes the first female President of the United States. She will become drop dead gorgeous.

No argument here. I just wanted to put a picture of Eleanor in a topic about hottness, to provide cosmic irony.

I was worried about Chelsea, but since her gawky age when Bill was president (again, to be fair, I was gawky at the same time) she has really grown to be very attractive.

And so this thread doesn't become too sexist, which it already is, I think that Evan Bayh is more handsome than Joe Biden, and that an Obama-Bayh ticket would have been the "pretty-boy '08" campaign. The McCain-Palin ticket is looking to capitalize on the "square-jaw" vote.

I first read about the Palin nomination on the internet while I was working, a friday morning I think it was.

So, I turned on the TV in my office and surfed through the news channnels.

Among the several observations from the "male news-anchors" that were recorded that day:

-she's certainly very attractive.

-she has a downs-syndrome child that would place great demands on any mother.

-she has total of five children.

-she can't take care of her family if she were elected.

No kidding follks, that was what was coming out of the news guys mouth on CNN and the other outlets.

The talking-head types, the commentators, were typically even less generous.

No doubt she is the worst nightmare for some of a certain political persuasion. It is almost comical to hear them frothing at the mouth.

Ok - Australia has got a shout.

SoM...not sexist, although in this day and age....

If I was suggesting she was picked for being hot, then that would be sexist. I don't see why commenting on someone's looks (reference being "hottest") is sexist. It's simply stating an opinion about someone. Hell, I wish some people would say I'm sexy, dashing, suave, sophisticated...wouldn't offend me in the slightest. I would even allow the occasional wolf-whistle...I'd lap it up!

As a matter of fact, because of where I'm from (Scotland) and because of my size, I am often referred to as "Shrek". My photo on the company intranet is actually of Shrek. Rather than take offense to this, I find it rather amusing as I can see the "link". Sweaty Sock (people from Scotland being reffered to as Jocks...sweaty socks...see the link?) was another one. Not racist, abusive, sexist or any other "ist" you could attach to it.

Australia need to export some of their excess female politicians to the States.

I'm with you Judge, I would be quite content to receive a hoot or howl from a female occaisionally.

A Princess no less. Yeah, ship her over as well.

We could turn this into The Almighty Political Babe Thread.

The Bloc Quebecois party here in Canada had this drop dead gorgeous female member a few years back, I don't know if she is still with them or how she aged. Ooh La la.

Regards,

Greg

Wouldn't want to touch that with a 10 feet pole. :Like they say, the package is nice, but something smells rotten inside.

Her voice curdled some milk I had too close to the TV.

Definitely milfy librarian meets porn secretary. She reminds me of Eva Angelina. Not that I'm familiar with the genre
