Jason,

That is great!  I have wanted to use these, but had concerns about downloading mods.

Thanks,
Duncan

Well thank you! alanrv's "Ode to Panzer Leader" mod appears to be what I'm looking for and I can go from there. Thanks again.

(Sorry. Double post.)

Well, only the PB file link to rapidshare still works, the other file isn't there anymore.
The other links don't work neither ... Where to get the PL mod ?

It will be included with the 1.03 UPDATE as an option for you to install.

Thanks a million, Jason, for including this in the new patch!  Glad it has a permanent home, as I read some of the links were now gone.  Thanks to everyone for the nice comments!

Downloaded both. So now that I have the 1.04 patch installed, do I unzip these in to their respective folders or just into the Campaign Series main folder?

Actually tooz, they are included in 1.03 and 1.04 downloads already. In your main JTCS folder is User Mods folder. In there are the 3 games folders with mods and backups. To install simply copy and paste the files. To reverste, copy and paste the backups.

Or get JSGME to swap them for you. It's like McMMM for CM only better and works for CM and other games too.

Edit: To answer your question a mod goes into the game folder, not the main folder.

Well, the copy and paste worked, but for some reason JSGME did NOT work(?). This enabler works great for me with Panzer Command (the game I haven't played since i got JTCS) but no luck here. Oh well. Now bring on those mods!

Thankyou. Like others, Panzerblintz was my first paper wargame. I appreciate a game that welcomes user mods.

I own the TS versions of WF and EFII and so far have seen no reason to upgrade.

I misplaced my WF disc some time ago, which made me reconsider...

Then I found this topic...

Thanks for this great mod, and thanks for Matrix to include it in the game. The best one can do is to vote with his/her wallet... You have a new happy customer :)

Has anyone converted any PL scenarios to WF? Now that would be a welcomed change to PL solitaires, wouldn't it?

I know this is an old thread, but I am new to this site. I have been looking for a computer versions of PL and PB for years. I am most grateful to you for doing this. Can you tell me if the John Tiller Campaign Series and your mods for PB and PL run on Vista? Thanks in advance!

Hey Dennis,

Sorry for the seriously late reply. Haven't been here in a long time. Yes, works great with Vista and has been patched to fix earlier issues. Runs like a charm.

Panzerblitz was among the first games to break the AH mold. After PB, no more cookie cutter games, no more same old same old, the earlier paradigm was shattered. At the time, it was a mind blowing experience. Jim Dunnigan was such a genius!

Yes berto, I have to agree with you.

I played PB and expanded it with extra boards and counters bought direct from AH to at a time make a full Soviet Tank Army!
Three other guys and myself would play these mega-scenarios for hours, no days, no weeks on end forgetting all about time it seemed!

The early 1970's were loaded with a lot of fun playing this new generation of war games. Then came Panzer Leader and we did it
all over again, yes it was a great time for me.

Jim Dunnigan was truly a war game genius and he went on to do may great things for this hobby in the years following the release of PB.

Those were the days...
