Hey

I would like to buy the game, but before, I have a question.
This Game has a german Support
(stands in the description at the game side).
That is correct??!
That means, that i can play in german??
The Patches also for german??

I asked already Sean from Matrix Games, but itself he is not sure.

Regards Marlow

You can select German as the language and all messages from the game system will be in German. But, as this screenshot shows, the messages from the scenario will be in the language used by the scenario designer - most commonly English.

Hey

Have many thanks for your very good answer!
Your Zitat:

But now i`am a little disappointed!! That is all.
Nothing InGame.
Okay, i read so much from the Game and think, that will be one
of the best (it can also be, it is THE best) from Matrix Game.
The english will not to hard, i think and hope, to understand
all of the gameplay.
This Game is a must have!!

Thanks again and regards, Marlow

Also, any news events or theater options (both generated by the scenario designer, not TOAW) will be in the language used by the designer (predominately English).

Frankly, the German translation is a courtesy but leaves some room for improvement (i.e. no aircrafts = nein flugzeuge).

When I use it though, it's merely for unit descriptions, because it emphasizes my feeling of leading Axis forces. The manual however is only available in English and so are most threads considering strategy or newbie questions. This could be a serious drawback for someone new to TOAW and lacking basic language skills. My suggestion would be to frequent a German forum after purchase to get an easier introduction into the game.

Is there a forum for German interest in TOAW? I'd be interested.

Here you go.

http://www.si-games.com/forums/index.php

This is an all German forum, covering some Matrix titles like TOAW, WITP and WBTS.

No Problen, when there is help needed, i will translate. Example:(i.e. no aircrafts = nein flugzeuge)correct is: keine Flugzeuge

I think english is not a big Problem for me, but the game is very
complex and without a german manual OR a german gamelanguage it`s hart to play.
A german Forum makes that not better and that Forum you linked, that's not my cup of tea. Also there only discusses a little about some Matrix Games, NO more!

Currently the 40 Euro for the Game (via shipment, downloads i not like) is much for me, because my PC need some new things like a greater Mainboard and other.

Downloads from the Matrix site are easy and quick! The nice thing about digital downloads are once you register your game (keep your receipt!) if for some reason your computer crashes you can go back and redownload the game! I can speak from experiance because I've had to do it 2-3 times. Hope this helps! Cheers.

Yes, the manual is always nice to have but remember that any updates for TOAW will not be included  You would have to read the updates to find out what's changed. Another note; TOAW will be updated probably this week which involves some supply issues in the game. Cheers
