Here's a new AAR against a brigadier general AI of the coming fury historic scenario. I, have been promoted to take command of the forces in rebellion. A battle is imminent near Bull Run Creek. Forces under genral Beauregard amount to eighteen-thousand men. Against him are 35,000 under Irwin McDowell. Another 18,000 men under Robert Patterson are arriving on the field as I type. Can we hold or will the rebellion be crushed?

Battle of first mannassas

The confederate line consists of seven brigd=ades plus the small Hampton's legion. Beauregard directly commands some south carolinians on the far left. Cocke and Early's brigades follow then Longstreet's battery and Ewell on the right. The union attack comes hard along the whole. Miles and Runyon's divisions begin to drive the left but Cocke and Ewell make progress. The confederates assault the union left flank supported by Longstreet's guns and smask Tyler's division. Panic spreads and the union line begins to collapse. The union line pulls back and reforms during the night. Throughout the night minor actions occur but nothing descive is gained. By moring when we woke up their army had vanished. Casualties were nearly five thousand on heir side and six thousand on our own. We were victorious!

Following that victory I set about to organizing. Back east troops from all over Virginia were put into the 'Army of the potomac'. Soon the army had two corps, Longstreet's Corps with Mclaws' army of the peninsula, D.H.Hill's department of Norfolk and Anderson's division of the old troops from mannassas. The Army of the shenendoah was the other Corps, Under T. J. Jackson. This corps contained divisions under JEB Stuart and Jubal Early from the old army of the shenendoah and Kirby Smith's division from the valley. Later Taylor's division from the carolinas was added directly to HQ. Robert E. Lee was placed on command of the entire army and Beauregard as his second. Soon out west was being organized. Albert Sidney Johnston Began to gather his forces. Troops under Polk were brought from Memphis, Buckner brought his command from Kentucky. Bragg brought his troops up from Mobile and Twiggs from Baton Rouge. More to come later.
