Sorry, I don't have screen shots as I quit the game in disgust.

Played vs. AI as Britain, V 1.4(new patch beta). Marched through Spain while Naps and friends were busy in Italy and Germany. Waltzed righ up through southern France and took Paris. Garrisoned 20 infantry over 8 months and still no surrender. Moved a corps in to see if that would trigger a surrender, nothing... Waited another 3 months and marched out of Paris leaving my 20 inf garrison.

Next turn my garrison dissapeared!!!(only my depot remained), and France went on the onslaught offensive from hell. 5 French cav corps took an empty Paris, and the other 10 corps proceeded to surround my shocked army and destroy it.

So, I think the program did not recognize any garrison in Paris(or enemy corps for that matter). They sure as heck didn't surrender.

Thoughts?

Mike

This was vs a Hard AI, 3 month surrender time for an occupied capital. It seems like they did not recognize any enemy in France, because when I moved into their minor country (from Paris)they attacked.

I don't suppose you kept a save file for this?

It definitely needs fixing, but a save would make it a lot easier.

Shoot! I played the it out after the bug, the only thing I have saved is the economic phase after the land phase I marched out of Paris(very next turn). It won't help you recreate the bug. Sorry.

It only took about 2 hours of play. I will see if I can't recreate it.

I would certainly like to see this???
Remember that if the AI still has a large force on the map then it will hold out UNLESS you put him into Civil Disorder (Must control all provincial capitals thus preventing ALL home nation manpower from being collected). This condition will force an unconditional surrender.

The garrison going away is definitely ODD???
