Kick off.

Germany 3, Poland 0

Most devastating attack on Poland yet, in my short career.

Germany wants peace, we were FORCED to invade Poland, attacked by conentration camp inmates dressed in Polish uniforms. Doesn't that just PROVE that in concentration camps is where these war mongers  belonged? Can the leaders of the West now throw off the yoke of the international Jewish-Bolshevist conspiracy and make peace with us, in accord with the will of their equally peace loving peoples? (Joe, don't stop sending us the grain and oil, you know it's jus' propaganda. And hey? Where did we develop all our weapons forbiddem by Versailles? Germany loves ya, really.

The brutal, gratuitous sinking of our U-boats going about their normal business off the coast of Spain can only be interpreted as a refusal to come to the negotiating table. It will be answered with a thousand times power and ferocity.

The peace loving people of Germany are at war with the West, under the yoke of said conspiracy, and nobody else. When we move next to Paris, other countries will "wake up".

Oh. Don't you like our propaganda? Go-balls will be awfully hurt.

It 's April and Germany has been forced, against it's will, to invade a load of neutral countries and rip off all their resources. Denmark and Norway fall, as do The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. France and Britain were not surprised, however, and have prepared tough, well manned defences along the Franco-Belgian frontier. In May we will walk through them as on a summer stroll!

May, and in a cross between Schlieffen and Gelb, German forces envelop Lille and a sizable bag of prisoners to be. Calais falls.

As French armies retreat west in the Maginot line, to the second line of forts, other German units attack south between Paris and the Maginot line, piercing the front but lacking reserves to follow through.

Powerful Allied forces remain in front of Paris.

The Kriegsmarine scores a rare victory, sinking close to 500 supply points in Biscay and evading concerted RN reprisals.

In June-July, the Kriegsmarine landed troops at La Rochelle as U-boats scored a couple of Allied cargo ships offshore. Lille fell to encircling forces after a comprehensive artillery pummelling. Lead elements of AG A advanced along the north coast of France to Le Havre, west of Paris, before turning south. AG B battered a wide gap in the French line just southeast of Paris and paratroops were dropped deeper to cut off the remaining troops abandoning the Maginot line. Mixed up elements of both AGs arrived at the outskirts of Paris. AG C advanced to keep up with French troops leaving the Maginot.

RN and RAF intervention around La Rochelle and the Channel sunk several U-Boats as well as tons of supplies headed to it by sea. Troop transports and their escorts nevertheless made it home from their mission and left the port in German hands.

July-August saw the assault on Paris by elements of AGs A and B. Waves of bombers and their escorts pecked away at the city's defences from the sky. When the bombs had done their work the attack went in from west and east, north of the Seine. Two armoured corps as well as infantry went in but for all the losses on both sides, there was no decision. Artillery was brought up to pound the defenders and fresh troops to augment those of the first wave still able to attack. The second attempt at the city was successful. This left a large pocket of Allied troops just north of Paris.

Elements of AG A advancing along the coast linked with the marines at La Rochelle.

AG C broke through along the Swiss border and headed west then north to link with the paratroops dropped previously. The Maginot remnants are now encircled.

Only insignificant enemy land forces now remain on the continent.

The old railway carriage is rolled out again and vichy is proclaimed!

The victorious armies reorganise and flesh out their losses.

Fighters of a recconaissance wing over southern England make numerous interrupted radio reports of heavy enemy air activity. None return.

RN sink three U-boats off Southampton, Germany's most experienced submariners to date.

U-boats passing through the North Sea happen upon a naval formation guarding the Thames. Calling in reinforcements, a surprise attack is launched with overwhelming firepower! The RN squadrons are wiped out in the Kriegsmarine's first important victory over the RN!

File to Japan

The glorious army of Japan has declared war on China and march into several Chinease provinces. No combats yet. And we will not expect any. The enemy is a group of cowards and will not dare to stand in the way of the Tenno´s victorious corps.

Russia calls all male citizens from the age of 25-30 to arms. The size of the country makes it difficult to move so many men at once.

The Politburo says that Germany is a friend of the peace loving Soviet Country, saying that war is not a thing the German people want either. Knowing that Germany is happy receiving the train loads of supplies every month.

Peace is still possible! Stalin says war is not his intention he reminds the German ambassador of the treaty signed by himself and Herr Hitler.

Attention is turned to China who wage a war against Japan. Memories of the Russo-Japanese War are woken. And the Russians are glad to be at peace.

September to October 1940 gives Italy some victories in the Med. Fleet sinks tons of Allied shipping then lands the Marines in Malta to no opposition. France is all quiet. Storm coming?

Russian males being formed into divisions.
The soviet people believe that what Stalin has told them about no war threat to his country.
Not all have come forward to join the Soviet Army. So the army is not as strong as Stalin believes. Not sure if we can keep this hidden for long.

So officers from the Politburo have to visit each town and village to persuade the people of what an honourable thing it is to wear the soviet uniform compared to clothing for the Sibierian Winter.

October-November 1940

U-boats do enormous damage to Allied shipping in the Atlantic, as does the Regia Marina elsewhere.

Occupation forces rally to confront an Allied landing in Bergen, Norway.

Luftwaffe raids on England begin. Southampton and London are the scenes of massive aerial confrontations with attrition to both sides.

The Kreigsmarine shells London.

Motorised Italian units advance deeper into Egypt.

Soviets starting to get worried over the German troops being stationed near their western borders.

Calls to Stalin about protection needed, are being heard throughout the land.

Stalin calms his peace loving people, tells them about the events of the western powers in Med.

The soviets now realize that the west has been beaten by the fascist German Armies.
A panic has now broken out in Moscow.
We were hoping that the news we heard of German and Italian forces being beaten on various fronts would force Germany to sue for peace.

Russia calls on all men to defend Mother Russia. The women can work in the fields and factories.

Arms and supplies are being pushed to the borders of the Land.

Will Japan sneak in the back door, just as they have sneaked up on the Americans?
Forces that were meant for the west fronts have been given orders to wait.
