Me and Borners game goes to pause as he must prepare his defences against another, more serious Ike.

So we have to hope for him the best.

thanks IKE, may your namesake turn away at the last minute and only be a near miss instead of a critcal hit.

As for the game, got another of IKE's MSW's

Not much to report. B-17's hit a convoy off Buna, sinking another MSW (4 lost now), and an AP. In points, IKE has now lost more ships, but he considers these expendable. A sub put 2 torps into one of his nice large ML's, and another barely made it to port afloat. This makes I beleive 3 badly damaged ML's for him. While i wish they had sunk, cutting his minelaying capasity by such a margin so early will pay off later I do believe. In addtion, I hope the loss of his sweepers allows my sub mines to find an extra target.. or two.. or three....

Me and Brian have come into a game bug.

For some reason the entire Japanese 35th Brigade is teleporting from magic from Rabaul to Wunpuko.

So we´ll see how he wants to resolve this.

In WITP we found "disappearing unit" and "teleporting unit" bugs that were related to fragments which had supposedly been deactivated (removed from the map) getting reconnected to actual active units (even ones from the other side), thus causing strange behavior. Did either side have a fragment in that hex recently?

I'm guessing the only way to fix this is for you to go down there and at least pull some fragments out - that still might not bring the whole unit back. If you absolutely want the whole unit back - you may need a "truce" while you go down, pick it up and bring it back to Rabaul.

Yes we calling a truce to pick fix this up because now the Units that teleported into Wunpuko are now teleporting into Luganville.

I never had a unit there recently or at all, Borner said he had a engineer unit in route to Wunpuko. We have the saves if you want to look at it.

Ah - is this a MOD? If so looking at the editor files might be worth while. Like any chance there are duplicate units in there??

No, this is not a MOD. normal 2by3 scenario 17, I´m not sure what was meant by that either.

Houserule- No Nighttime Carrier Operations. Besides this it´s anything goes.

We have all the saves if you want to look and see what´s going on with the program here.

I think he he saw my joke about it being an Ikemod and forgot that UV can't be changed like WITP.

I remember witnessing something like this a long time ago, only it was in reverse, with an Australian brigade being teleported to Rabaul.

The brigade was part of a full division unloaded at Lae to assault the city. While the rest of the division got on with the attack, the brigade teleported to Rabaul, but still under the 'launch deliberate attack' orders. Needless to say it suffered horrendous casualties against the well fortified Japanese. Whats even weirder is after the one disastrous attack the brigade teleported back to Lae, but still registering the losses incurred from its battle near Rabaul.

We ended up going back about 2 weeks in the game... sadly, IKE's big ML only took one torp hit this time.

Bagged a couple more AP's in the last few turns.... the death of a thousand paper cuts goes on. Sadly no new hits on ML's or MSW's recently.

Hit another of IKE's Minelayers......    Okinshima, having only taken one torp after our jump back, I am sure lived, but this makes 4 of his ML's that have been takes hits. Sunk or not, that's all the fewer mines when I come forward.

Borner tells me he formed a fast transport group at Luganville and it now has 6,000 Japanese troops on it.

So Allied fast transport fleets are now carrying Japanese soldiers around.
