Curt Chambers and I decided to play FITE, he as the Soviets and me
as the Axis. This AAR may seem a bit one-sided unless Curt decides
to post a bit more than he usually does, hint, hint. You guys
reading this....feel free to post your questions / comments and one
of us will try to answer etc.

Here's the minimap turn 1 axis moves:

According to my calculations there were 87 Soviet units destroyed in
turn 1. They were 56 ground combat units, 3 armoured units, 3
anti-tank guns, 21 aircraft squadron units, and 4 ship units.

Here's the Axis air briefing after round 8:

Here's the axis turn 1 losses:

I have no idea what the Soviet losses were ( hint to Curt ) but I suspect they were considerable

FITE Turn 2 as of 21OCT2008

For those techie nurds like me out there....there were 2762 events in Curt's playback.....in the moves he sent me.

Curt moved a lot of far eastern units toward the front lines and
blew a lot of bridges as he retreated some units. I saw Curt move
some units toward my lines to act as roadblocks to slow down my
advance and that undoubtly will work well for him. I noticed the
beginning of an evacuation from Finland just north of Leningrad
and from the Bessarabia near the Romanian units in the south. He
didn't move his air units to Moscow or somewhere far to the east
as I expected. Maybe it's a trap to get me to attack them some
more.

I'm going to have to start dropping some of his railroad bridges so he can't move his entire army into my advance.

Here's the Axis turn 2 reinforcements, all 8 of them:

I dropped a Brandenberger on the bridge near Slonim but forgot to
set him on "ignore losses" and the first Soviet unit to come along,
an engineer unit no less, forced him off the bridge and blew it up.
Plus to add insult to injury a Soviet anti-aircraft unit blew the
other bridge nearby:

I'm still in the double-digit supply range in the north sector but
on the edges it's starting to get into the teens so the railroad
repair guys aren't keeping up. I didn't really expect them to.

I really can't take any credit from it. It's all those years of training....you learn to react in a microsecond.

Hey you guys I was just on the verge of capturing Riga on my second round of combat when I got an early turn ending. Isn't that frustrating? Here's a screenshot of the situation:
