I drink beer and/or smoke some while gaming.

Status: offline 		I like my beer and cigarettes, but it depends on the game I'm playing. For PureSim Baseball, it's OK to imbibe while playing. For SPWaW, I prefer to be tee-total straight. The drink of choice in THAT case is either coffee or water. When it comes to wargaming, I'm deadly serious.

Status: offline 		Usually coffee.  I make coffee that makes Starbucks' (generally reknown by the masses for its strength) look like water by comparison.  Sometimes whiskey, wine or beer, though I'm not picky about those.  I only smoke the occasional cigar, but not in computer room.

Status: offline 		Coffee and cigs. Cheap coffee for everyday, Costco by Starbucks on the weekends. I have a Cuisinart coffee maker with a grinder built in. PITA to use. $10 grinder on the side is better.

Sadly, it's just tough to play board games now since I really can't do any of those anymore..sigh.....

Status: offline 		Coffee and a cigar to chew on. Smoking is verboten in the house. Occasionally, I will use a laptop on the patio in which case I can smoke to my hearts content.
Cookies and coffee is especially satisfying while engaged in a horrific winter campaign.

Status: offline 		I don't drink (alcohol) or smoke while playing games. If I do have a drink it will be water or something diet. I might have a bananna or grapes while playing. Best to play healthy and not drink and game.

Status: offline 		Ciggs and a Stella Artois if I'm into a WW2 game. ( thet's the only European beer I got at the moment) In the morning, just coffee/tea ( depending on mood) and ciggs. I once played a flight sim ( European Air Combat 2) while indulging (heavily) into scotch one night. Take offs were fine, combat was so-so ( incredible how macho one gets with a few stiff ones and a joystick) but landings was a no-show...Approach, line up, plough into earth, fireball, aieeeee. So no more heavy booze while flying.

I recall waking up once, tremendously hung over, and crawling over to my computer to find Rome:Total War (back when the game first came out) paused and still running from some time I can't remember the night before. Needless to say, the camera was zoomed out and still trying to pan in the back corner of the map, and zooming back to the middle found my entire Roman army massacred by an errant indepent Gallic village. All I could think was "what the hell did I do??".

Losing anything but the most heavily outnumbered battle in vanilla RTW is similar to losing a boxing match against a 6 year old girl. Never again have I decided to play a saved campaign in any strategy game while doing any "serious" drinking since that incident.

Status: offline 		No smoking. I drink Espresso, I own a Gaggia espresso machine and a good grinder. Sometimes black tea or water.
In summer sometimes a beer in the evening. Wine only while having a good diner.

Status: offline 		Usually coffee, sometimes Perrier water, root beer, or tea. I gave up the booze before I ever had a PC. I quit smoking, too, a number of years later. I've saved a lot of money and avoided a lot of problems both financial and physical by doing so.

As a result, I have more money to spend on PC games and the computers to run them on.
