when you prepare your small force (for example for a PBEM game) you can buy a HQ (command center emplacement), you can find in the Misc menu. It cost around 79 (or more in W@W4.3b. My question is: should I buy it? why not? why Yes? And above all what's for? thanks in advance ------------------ "The conqueror is always a lover of peace; he would prefer to take over our country unopposed." CLAUSEWITZ

It really there for scenario building. It has little effect on battles. I think it might act as a leader, effecting rally and orders but generally it would be better to buy a real fighting unit than the HQ. ------------------ An old soldier but not yet a faded one. OK, maybe just a bit faded.

If I understand it correctly the command tent increases your command points and rally rate/effectiveness. It might be something worth looking at if your fighting a defensive battle and can spare the points. I have used them once and a while and found them to add that little bit of help to badly shot up units. ------------------ Cavalry Trooper (8th US) and Grandson of a Leibstandarte Tanker.

Actually, it is a more of a tool for scenario design than generated battles. Something for attackers to aim at Since, however, it is part of the OOB, it will always appear in the list. Wild Bill ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

Well then it looks like I was totally wrong about them. I honestly thought they help with command points and ralling. I could have sworn they boosted the abilities of some of my leaders. Oh well guess you all see what too little sleep can do to you. I'm sorry for my incorrect information gentlemen. I will make dang sure I know what I'm talking about in the future. Oh well I guess I just learned what they do for real so I can stop buying them. ;-) ------------------ Cavalry Trooper (8th US) and Grandson of a Leibstandarte Tanker.
