If things weren't going so well, now it's really hit the fan. This is doubtless news to you, but my "ally" out in the Pacific has declared war on the US, and triggered a Russian declaration of war on Germany. Suddenly we have to face the whole world at once and we haven't even mopped up in the Balkans yet. It's Jan 1941. Will it all be over by Christmas? Cheers Tojo!

Didn't Tojo know about the results of the pearl harbour attack?

Looks like Tojo just altered the train schedule for Moscow-Berlin.

What am I to do with all the grain and oil? Then again i didn't want to go to war yet either.

Thanks Tojo.

Well, I did just attack you a little. Just a little bit, mind, and only because you declared war on me. I was very hurt, you know? But we could just live in a state of undeclared peace. Would that be agreable?

What does just a little bit mean? You probably took my border guards captive and put them in your "Prisoner Camps" or shot them?

I am a litle upset that you did attack me, just when I was starting to believe you were a peaceful people. You must learn to get your vasal leaders under control, letting Tojo roam about in the Pacific is not a great Idea.

Will journey to the front lines to see what damage has been caused, the vast distance of our land make communications somewhat difficult. Not sure what I will find there, might be hard to return to our normal grain and oil exchange programm after what has happened.

Sorry to cause some trouble, guys. But I did not know that attacking US would have influence on Russian-German-relation. Maybe translation of European history book to Japanese was wrong or we are using different calenders, so I attacked US too early. Anyway, alea jacta est, a French philosopher has said (or was he from Greek?).

Rufus, too late for the apologies.

As a result of your powermad Generals I was forced to enter a war I did not want. Do you have any millitary advisors?

Now I have to travel to the Westfront (during the freezing Winter) that's what is bothering me. And maybe write a few letters to the widows of the brave border guards.
It's ok for you sitting under a palm tree drinking a few cocktails planning the war.

No serious now, no hard feelings things like this happen. I just wonder what the West have to say to your attack on Pearl.

Japan forces the Soviet Union to declare war on Germany.

The Soviet Army attacks the German aggressors in revence for the deaths of the valiant border guards.

Stalin plans a meeting with Generals to plan further actions.

You know zigzag just wants you to destroy yourself against Germany so he thinks he can walk in and mop up. Are you going to let him?

That was the most carefully considered German turn to date. Costly experiments are over, gloves are off, germany will now take over the world!

Soviet forces move westwards.

Stalin orders a stop to the advance as he fears a trap by the German forces.
Soviets will try to liberate the Finnish people.

It's hit the fan!

Regia Marina, what's left of it, makes its escape, but it did do some damage off the Greek Coast.

An unstoppable phalanx of blue haired, blond eyed, bronzed, lustily singing, lederhosen slapping supermen sweep the subhumans from Beograd, driving the remnants to the hills for total and final destruction at leasure. Ahhhhhhh.

An attack to isolate the allied troops north of Athens makes ground but ultimately fails.

AG South pays for poor recce as it slams into a Siberian anti-tank nest in thick forest.

With heavy air support, two Russian corps in East Prussia are brutally crushed.

Helsinki is abandoned to its fate.

The Heroes of the Soviet Army have freed Helsinki from the German Occupation force.

Soviet forces pull back out of Poland after being crushed by German Luftwaffe. Stalin didn't believe the news of a failed Poland assault until Politofficers told him how brave the soldiers fought until the death.

Borders to Romania are being fortified.

Otherwise all is calm on the Western Front

The Axis may have its back up against the wall, but it's not out yet.

More than 2000 SPs sink in the Atlantic.
Russian units all along the Eastern Front are pummelled by sustained air and artillery attack, many finished off or set to flight by following ground units.

Yugoslav resistance is terminated.

1st Fallschirmjaeger Division holds its ground north of Athens against all the West can throw at it. Finally Kleist's Panzer troops, freed last month from fighting in Yugoslavia, cross the Corinth Straight and wheel round to join Italian units struggling to make contact with 1st FJ. Following a Wagnerian air assault by the Regia Aeronautica on defenders of the lifeline to Allied units in mainland Greece, tanks, infantry and paras close in and exterminate the, admitedly, determined defenders. Five depleted allied units are now cut off on the coast. Only the RN can help them now, and the Regia Aeronautica has plans for them :D

Only in Norway do the Allies score something a weak mind might construe as success, as the RN blockades Oslo and reinforces Bergen with many troops and bombers. Fortress Norway will fight to the last breath!

AG North completes its liberation of East Prussia.

AG Centre advances in eastern Poland.

AG South threatens breakthrough and envelopment of Russian SW Front.

German armour joins successful Romanian counter-attacks east of Ploesti.

Remnants of 1 FJ Division are expelled from their defensive positions and retreat into Axis lines. Axis forces close in for the kill as Regia Aeronautica bombs Athens and destroys Allied unit trapped north of the city.

Kriegsmarine makes an attempt to break blockade of Oslo. It is a failure, with heavy losses.

Turn to Japan

BEF advances in Norway with heavy losses.

AGN falls back behind river, guarding East Prussia.

AGC repells Russian counter attacks and advances towards Minsk.

AGS loses an armoured group to Russian counterattacks but continues its advance, routing a Siberian corps on its left, scouts on its right.

Russians take Bucharast and threaten further advance. With poor recon and thinking it unoccupied, Hoepner walks into Ploesti and his remnant armoured group dies.

Bulgarian and Rumanian occupation forces wipe out partisan bands in Macedonia.

Athens holds against first attack with heavy losses on both sides.

Axis advances into Egypt once more.

Heavy Allied shipping losses in the Atlantic provoke retaliation from the RN. A small U-Boat flotilla is wiped out.
