The defending champion Carmel Greyhounds kept their title of state champions, blanking their conference rivals, the Center Grove Trojans, 27-0 in Lucas Oil Stadium (OK, so it's Gary's Convention Center, but hey...). The Trojans could move the ball on the ground, but the passing game was completely non-existent, and being stuck with a one-dimensional offense left them looking outplayed, outcoached, and outscored. Defensively, the Trojans did what they could, but with the lack of an offense to keep the game close with the Hounds, the deficit did nothing but grow and grow.

Carmel's opening possession, which ended in

the runningback pass to the wide receiver (9) for the TD

Center Grove's runningback (8) running the ball for a first down

Similar situation a possession later

Center Grove punting the ball

Carmel's QB dashes up the middle

Carmel's QB looking to pass

Center Grove, pinned on the 2, avoids the safety and gains some moderate breathing room

Same drive, the Trojans continue to advance the ball

Forward pitch on a designed running play

Center Grove's CB makes the TD saving tackle

only to have it happen on the next play, as the QB throws it to the WR (9) (right hash) for the TD

Center Grove continues with the running game, as their passing game is already showing signs of problems

TD #3

Sack

Center Grove's longest pass play - screen from the shotgun for a long gain. The drive would end on a punt

Center Grove stuffs Carmel for a loss

Center Grove's trick play gets broken up by the Greyhounds, huge loss that leads to a missed FG

Mid-way through the 4th quarter, down 3 scores, and inside the 5 for the second time in the game

Center Grove breaks off a big run, and the Trojans still have a chance to score and attempt to make it a ballgame again

The nail

The hammer

And here was Center Grove's biggest problem:

Cool stuff,I've created one High School team so far and I'm working on some others when I score some free time.  The current one completed is Detroit Catholic Central - the Shamrocks, my dad's alma mater.

My school shut down a few years ago now so I really don't have one heh.

I've made some, there's the two Mykal made, and there is a school here in Indianapolis (Cathedral - they were on ESPN in August in a game against Carmel) that is a 5 minute edit using Notre Dame as a base (considering [IIRC] Notre Dame took Cathedral's logos [excluding the "ND" logo of course])

LOL and since I went to Harper Woods Notre Dame it would be a 5 minute update of that 5 minute update.
