I've just said I enjoyed my first ever PBEM but I couldn't believe what happened in Skagerrak. 5 German fighters took on 3 WA fighters of equal ability plus 1 LF and 2 HF. Result - 2 destoyed and 1 damaged WA fighter against 3 damaged German fighters (probably fair result) plus one of his two undamaged fighters got a critical hit and damaged the LF AND (seriously, can you believe this) the other undamaged fighter ALSO got a critical hit on a HF and damaged it.

That's going from unlucky to silly isn't it?

Indeed, it sounds like some bad luck.... But more details would be needed - what were the evasion and attack details for the fighters involved, what were the ranges of the attack, and was there any suppression involved with the fleets (I am not sure who attacked whom)?

That said, I have had some 'bad rolls' in some games that simply 'suck' (I like to think of them as friendly fire.....).
