I have to say, I am quite impressed with Supply chain management in the paci..err war in the pacific.

So the first thing I did when I bought the game was jump straight into the grand campaign because I enjoy punshment and failure. the AI and I played as an Allied player on historical difficulty because I heard here the AI was also just as much of a glutton for pushiment and failure as I. And boy it did not dissapoint.

I ended up loosing 4 battleships and a carrier to betty bombers and then the Wasp to the Kido Butai and every kind of munition in the IJN inventory. But! not to be outdone, The AI quickly ran every carrier it had around port morsby (incidentily where I had stationed several hundered 4e bombers 2e bombers, dive bombers, candy bombers and paid off a few tribes to throw rocks at passing IJN vessels) not once but twice! So the AI lost every carrier it had but one. But I could not let this act of idiocy go unchalleged! Later upon the taking of Iwo, I ended up losing 4 more battleships including 2 newer ones. 1 old and 1 new to Yamato and Musashi, then 2 more to those wonderful bettybombers because my carriers take the follow command as merely a polite suggestion. Quickly the AI had realized it had dome something right and quickly tried to make up for it by sailing its battleship fleet headlong at a group of British carriers and Yamato and Musashi were both promtly sunk by 18 avengers. Then proceded to park the rest of its battlefleet at Hiroshima (which was every battleship besides Yamato, Musashi and Kirishima) without any troop stationed there. I paradroped a few squads from Iwo onto Hiroshima and every battleship in the IJN was scuttled. Unfortunately I could not think up or try anythign that would top that so I ended up winning the game.

Incidentily I cant walk into a model store anymore because everytime I see a betty bomber, even in a box on the shelf, I get angery. I think I may need therapy.

Anywho, IF there is anyone out there that plays IJN and wants to dare challenge my idiocy by email I am more then happy to take it up. If you want we can play with Voice over IP and you can hear my exquisite use of colorful metaphors whenever one of my ships gets sunk by a betty bomber. And it will happen often, I promise. I'll make a post in opponents wanted a wee bit later.

Well,   Take my advise...   Play´in a Human Team vs another Human Team

Recommend you 1 day turns,  and vs a experienced Human Team.
I ensure you  that  you will get a very interesting experience.

Both because you play aiganst sevral humans, but also because of the team work within your own team.

I have jet not played aiganst the AI in the full campaing,  only tried in 1 smaller scenario aiganst the AI, and then the AI suked...

Recommend you Human vs Human, or Human Team vs Human Team.. ..

Grats on your win! Anyone who completes a full campaign game, whether PBEM or against the AI, deserves a round of applause.

Well done - when did your campaign end?

I just finished as the Allies in November 1944 - I'm going to post some notes in a moment.
