Has anyone had this happen?

Playing Austria vs the AI on 1.05.

Conquered Naples and made it a free state with the intent of embarking on some small-scale naval operations against the available island countries in the Med.

DOWed Sardinia.

First, the game wouldn't allow either Prussia or GB to manipulate Sardinia. The log reads: "No results for Prussia diplomacy on Sardinia"

Second, Austria is given uncontested control of Sardinia. Several lines from the log read:

No MP assumed control of Sardinia
Austria Political Status 27 + Money 54
Sardinia automatically conquered by Austria
Austria +1pp for conquering Sardinia
Austria +1pp to undo DOW on Sardinia

All this makes some sense from the perspective of 4.6 if no one is willing or eligible to take control. But Spain, France, Prussia and Turkey are all eligible. Why would none of the eligible countries not take control. I see nothing that would be preventing them.

If this is a bug, I'll report it to Manits. But if it is meant to be a feature, is it new?

Why don't you send me your game or post to Mantis since IF Pr an Tu have Sardinia check for control then this would be a bug UNLESS they tied in their rolls for control.

Marshall, I have been unable to replicate the situation.

In the first example, Prussia DOWed France that same month, who called Turkey, then Prussia called Russia. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with the unusual results.

All attempts to replicate have no Prussian DOW and control of Sardinia is determined normally. France usually gains control.

This could be an odd result in a tie breaker when both MPs tie for control (Unusual)??? I have a note to look into the code section for this...

I'm not sure.

The one time this happened, the log shows no attempt at determining control (no attempts = no tie).

All the other times I've rerun the turn where a country does get control, the log shows the usual entries for each country making the attempt.
