I play btr with the 1.05 patch with 100 a/c transfer a turn. I was reading in one of the posts a 1.06 patch with 500 transfers a turn. I play the long
campaigns and 500 seems alot of movement in a turn with all that has to move besides the planes to keep them flying. Men, spare parts, spare engines,
fuel. Plus all the facilities that have to be upgraded or built on the move. What will be the a/c transfer rate be in the new game????

for the long campaigns it is 1000 for the first turn and then drops to 500 (basicly, to let the player set up his forces the way he wants them, then what he gets, for the Allies, a player who pays attention, pretty much knows where every Axis AF with planes on it, are at start, so this give the Axis player a chance to set up as they want) which remember moving some of the US Units, takes up a lot of numbers, very fast, and to be honest, once you start moving into Italy, or across to France, you will wish you had more

right now, BoB is set at 100, I would like to have that jumped to 500 for 1st turn and then drop to 100 for the rest of the battle (if I can, I would like a pop up and one day bump up, for when the LW decided to move most of the fighters from LW 3 to LW 2, but that is a wish list item for now)

I love the idea of bumping it up on the first turn. That would add so much to the game!

The initial bumping up of the OP points is nice but have you considered to bump up the daily points as well ?
It's especially for the defending player hard to rotate air units AND to move/strengthen air defenses.

I suggest using 130 to 150 points for BOB and something between 600 to 800 points for BTR.

only during heavy combat times it is hard to keep a decent Korps of the LW in the besieged area.
But usually sooner or later the weather will give you some resting time (or the morale of the Allied crews, etc....)

But do not forget that there is a small price to pay everytime you move a unit around ( minus 10 points of morale!!!!)

What's the logic for this? Why would a simple re-deployment reduce morale?

I have always disagreed with the morale reduction when a unit is moved. RAF and Lw units (fighters and ground attack a/c mainly) were regularly moved in real life without any detrimental effect on morale.

It should be fatigue, not morale.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but it takes weeks of inactivity to recover that lost morale. AFAIK - inactivity doesn't raise morale worth a hoot. It impacts it, but very slowly.

I'll hit up Harley again about Moral loss on moving, I don't understand or agree with it either (in fact, most times it made the Pilots happy to be moving)

Morale loss or gain, normally is based on the CO, I have had Harley rework this, so replacements should be better (some reason, the BGs tended to get real dog commanders once there CO's got lost, also, made it more random on who gets hits when under attack)

IMHO: Basically, it should be Fatigue.

What this is about, is your comment on the CO effect.

The "feel" works well in the game. Get a commander with an inspiration less than 40 and the unit will become very "brittle". Use it once and then set it aside for a week to recover.

Whereas an inspiration greater than 90, gives a unit that seems to be able to fly daily and take massive amounts of punishment. Give them one days rest and the unit is ready to go again.

The problem is not being able to "relieve" these sub par commanders.

Just a thought, eh?
