Will the people who bought this game from Matrix
be getting the updated big Manual that AGEOD
is doing now?
Thanks in advance.

You can down load the manual from Ageod without any problem. It is not completely ready, but there are sections available now. I think it is a safe assumption that when Ageod delivers a finished manual to Matrix, it will be made available asap.

For those that want to take what is currently available; you can download from here:
http://www.ageod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11888

There are more sections available if you go through the thread, but those are still in the process of updating for a full release.

Yes, everything AGEOD releases as far as game updates will work on our version.

Of the manual? I shouldn't think so.

I paid for digital download and hard copy so
why shouldn't we get the manual delivered?

Yes, the physical copy of World War One includes the printed manual, but it's the original manual, not whatever AGEOD is working on now.

I didn't say you shouldn't. I said you wouldn't.

Apart from the copy you get with the DVD physical copy, you will have a PDF updated manual along with everyone else.

I don't like reading pdfs. online that is why I paid
for physical shipment. The game is rather complex and the
manual that came with the game is very inadequate.
To bad that we will not be getting the real manual.
I guess I should of bought from AGEOD.
JudgeDredd you did say "shouldn't". Go check your post
but I don't want to get in a pissing contest.

I doubt very much that Ageod will be shipping a physical copy of the new manual-especially not for free.

After you download a PDF file you can adjust it for your vision on your own PC. I think it is actually a better way to go. Rarely do I order a box copy of a game. Even when I have the hard copy instructions, I find the PDF manual much quicker, and easier to use.

Give it another shot-you may start to like it.

lol

Yes, I did...I guess we can put that down to different interpretations.

You're still not getting one

And you aren't locked into viewing a pdf. I don't know anyone who has a computer that doesn't have a printer.

fwiw, I like printed manuals too. And I too am annoyed with the lack of documentation for the game.

My problem Maestro is that after about 10 pages of
reading online I start to get sleepy (old guy here).
I can print it out but that tends to run the ink out
of my printer then I get yelled at by my wife and kids.
After about a weeks worth of sitting on the throne I can usually
knock out a printed Manual.
But you are right I don't think AGEOD is going to
send out the printed manual for free.
I think AGEOD said they are up to 255 pages so far.
To many pages for free.

Hey Judgedredd AGEOD has started to release bits of the big manual.
I can get through those ok so not to bad but like you I
prefer printed manual.

Thanks guys for the info.

If you are an American old guy, you should recall the old Johny Cash tune in which he boosted that; "I got it one piece at a time, and it didn't cost me a dime". Everyone can get the new manual like like-and read it once piece at a time to avoid burn out. That's what I'm doing.

A cup of strong coffee at arms reach is helpful too.

Remind me again how that ended up in the song?

Excellent-I never expected someone to come up with a picture of that thing. I was listening to some of Johny's stuff today and thought that had a good ring to it-really

We must bear in mind that no one thought he would finish the car, but he did-and it was a lot of fun; to build and to drive.

Wayne,

The manual we printed was the one AGEOD provided, we don't have the budget to re-print a new post-release manual unfortunately. The enhanced manual they're working on will have to stay PDF. I regret that we couldn't have printed that one up for the release.

Regards,

- Erik

Yes, unfortunately Kinko's decided to discontinue that.

I think I'll just run it off myself....If you dont print some of the non essential pages, it really is not that bad..for example, I started on page 8, then eliminated a couple of pages that described the terrain tiles, as those can be easily recalled...if you just print the "meat" of the manual you'll save alot of time and ink....
