I playing with the latest patch. I was trying to start with the mercenary difficulty level. The problem i face is that, on the rifle section, he is selling this M1 rifle(the only rifle), but on the ammo section i couldn't find any ammo for this. Shouldn't the store sells the ammo for all the guns it has for sales?

I restarted the game on newbie difficulty and i manage to find 8 catridges for the M1 rifle.

Is that supposed to be as such?

I have another 2 more questions.

How do i select all mercs at one go? Beside using the mouse? Is there a shortcut key?

And one last important question. Say i selected all the mercs, and when i click on the lips icon (ie. to speak to) the A.I will select which merc of mine to start the conversation?

If i am not wrong in JA, the merc with the highest stats for leadership will be chosen? Correct me if i am wrong. In my current game it's always venom, although she has low leadership but high wisdom?

Shop stuff is random I belive. Took me afew days befor I could get rounds for my RPG. I've been seeing rounds for a P90 for awhile but I have never seen one for sale.

Only way I've found to select all is with the mouse drag. Haven't found a keyboard shortcut for it.

When I have more then one merc selected and try to talk to an NPC it normaly seems to just take whoevers closer.

The ammo and weapons appearing at DJs are somewhat random. Some things are more likely to show up than others, of course, and some things are only slated to show up when you've progressed a certain way through the game. If sometimes you have a weapon that shows up but no ammo or vice-verse, this is not necessarily "intentional" but it's a circumstance of the die roll coming up positive for one thing and negative for the other, etc. It's just luck is what I'm trying to say and not a plan by the developers to tease you with guns and ammo you can't match up.

We have tried to avoid this happening a lot, though. You shouldn't see a particular weapon all the time and absolutely no ammo for it ever. If a few battles there's a disparity that's one thing but you shouldn't go through a game with a rocket launcher on sale and no rockets.

There are two stats most relevant to conversing with NPCs - Wisdom and Strength. At various points in conversations with certain NPCs you can "convince" an NPC to agree with you through wisdom or you can "intimidate" them with your strength. These are special lines you normally couldn't say unless you were really strong or wise and they don't always appear in the same place as the other and they don't always bring the same outcome...

Thanks a lot for the clarification. I guess i can live with the randomness of the ammos for sale.

Interesting about the selection of mercs for conversation. I least expected strength to come into play and leadership being left out. So the A.I does take care of this yeah?

Hopefully in the future patch, the shortcut key for selection of all mercs will be included, best still an icon to click. :)

You can already select all mercs using "ctrl + a" and you can also change it by editing system.cfg

Remember though, your going to get most of your ammo from the battle field, so, plan on getting tons of Russian Ammo, most of the ammo you are going to be buying, will come from DJ's

so, if you go with Western Weapons, you will be short of ammo a lot of times, Russian Weapons, you will have lots and lots

Hey it works!!! Ctrl-A does select all mercs... DAMN useful! especially during non turn based!

This game ROCKS!!! i am starting to get a hang of it!!!!

I have a question... doing the doctor patient outside of battlefield. Do we need any special aid kit or something? I wonder how come it takes so long to patch my merc? After 7-8 hours my merc's health bar still has the pink bar. I even assign 2-3 mercs as docs

I found a 12.7 x 99 sniper rifle. I have yet to see any ammo for it other than the cache that was found with it. Is this a one time item or will Dickie Jay's eventually sell ammo for it? BTW, anyone know what gun takes 7.62 x 57? I have seen it for sale, but never found a gun that used it.

it is a old cheap sniper rifle that DJ's will carry
